The Maharaja Sayajirao's grandson Sir Pratapsinghrao Gaekwad who founded the Maharaja Sayajirao University and settled the trust as desired by his grandfather. This Trust known as Sir Sayajirao Diamond Jubilee and Memorial Trust exists today also and caters to the educational and other needs of the people of the former state of Baroda. The main object of establishing the Maharaja Sayajirao Univerity of Baroda was, therefore, to provide a distinct type of University-a teaching and residential University which sould have complete freedom in all academic matters and would be free to institute new branches of studies suited to the needs and aspirations of the region in particular and of the country in general.
Applications are invited on for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and one Project Assistant (PA) position to work under DBT sponsored research project "Study the role of exosome mediated transfer of miRNAs and its role in modulation of mitochondrial function and cell death in Parkinson's Disease". Duration of project is for three years.
Junior Research Fellow: 01
Fellowship First two years: Rs. 25,000/- plus 20% HRA per month, Third Year: Rs.28, 000/- plus 20% HRA per month, Non NET: 16000+20%HRA per month
Qualification
1. Essential Qualification: M.Sc./MPharma/MTech degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or related subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
2. Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Animal cell culture, Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Neurobiology are highly desirable.
3. Preference will be given to NET qualified candidates.
Project Assistant: 01
Fellowship First two years: Fixed 10000/- for three years
Qualification
1. Essential Qualification: M.Sc./MPharma/MTech degree in Zoology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology or related subject with minimum 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
2. Desirable Qualification: Research experience in human cell culture and Neurobiology are highly desirable.
