Health and Family Welfare programme is being implemented in the state to sustain the achievement of the previous years and to reach new goals. NRHM is working in a task mode to achieve goals set-in for the state and effectively deal with the challenges. NRHM has set the strategic direction that encompasses year wise objectives, technical strategies; interventions include program and services for improving maternal health, child health, family planning, adolescents' health etc. RCH –II has been bifurcated into core programmatic strategies and cross cutting program strategies for taking effective actions.

National Health Mission, Trivandrum District invited applications for the selection of the following categories of staffs, as detailed below.

National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) has been set up under the National Health Mission (NHM) as an autonomous registered society, to channelize technical assistance and capacity building support to the states for strengthening the public health system. The NHSRC is also mandated to contribute towards National strategic health planning and programme design. Work at NHSRC is organized around multiple divisions, namely Community Processes, Quality Improvement, Public Health Administration, Healthcare Financing, Healthcare Technology and Human Resources for Health.

NIAB, an autonomous institute under the aegis of Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenic technology, reproductive technology, diseases, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics. The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

CENTRAL DRUGS STANDARD CONTROL ORGANIZATION, Under the Drug and Cosmetics Act, the regulation of manufacture, sale and distribution of Drugs is primarily the concern of the State authorities while the Central Authorities are responsible for approval of New Drugs, Clinical Trials in the country, laying down the standards for Drugs, control over the quality of imported Drugs, coordination of the activities of State Drug Control Organisations and providing expert advice with a view of bring about the uniformity in the enforcement of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

Pharmacopoeia  Commission  for  Indian  Medicine  &  Homoeopathy  (PCIM&H) is an  autonomous  body  under  Ministry  of  AYUSH,  Govt.  of  India,  with  an  objective  to develop Pharmacopoeial Standards for Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathic drugs and to publish Ayurvedia, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia of India  for  the  promotion  of  Quality  and  Safety  of  ASU & H  Drugs.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world. As early as in 1911, the Government of India set up the Indian Research Fund Association (IRFA) with the specific objective of sponsoring and coordinating medical research in the country. After independence, several important changes were made in the organisation and the activities of the IRFA. It was redesignated in 1949 as the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) with considerably expanded scope of functions.

Kerala Medical Services Corporation (KMSCL) is a fully owned Government Corporation for providing services to the various health care institutions under the department of Family Welfare as per Section 67 of Companies Act; 1956. The company was incorporated on 28th December 2007. One of the key objectives of the KMSCL is to act as the central procurement agency for all essential drugs and equipments for all public healthcare institutions under the department. The company is procuring drugs worth more than Rs 170 crores & above 250 different types of medical equipments and also provides services needed for health sector.

For engaging outsourced manpower in various categories CDSCO under the MH&FW have selected the following agencies through GeM as per procedure.

The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), was established on 9th March, 1977 by the merger of two national level institutions, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP). The NIHFW, an autonomous organization, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, acts as an ‘apex technical institute’ as well as a ‘think tank’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes in the country.

The duration of the appointment will be initially for one year. The contract may be renewed based on requirement and performance during the period.
