    Abstract
Three new simple, economic spectrophotometric methods were developed for quantitative estimation of Rosuvastatin Calcium in bulk formulation. First method includes determination of Rosuvastatin Calcium at absorption maxima 252 nm, second method applied was area under curve for analysis of Rosuvastatin Calcium in the wavelength range of 247-257 nm and third method was first order derivative. Beer law obeyed in the concentration range of 5-35 μg/ml for all three methods. The correlation coefficients were found to be 0.974, 0.982 and 0.982by absorption maxima, area under curve and first order derivative spectra. Results of analysis were validated statistically and by performing recovery studies. The mean percent recoveries were found satisfactory for all three methods. The percentage label claim was found in the range of 100.28% to 101.01% .The proposed method was validated statistically and recovery studies.

    Abstract:
Aripiprazole is a new antipsychotic agent. There is presently no evidence to suggest that it is more effective than existing antipsychotics in the treatment of schizophrenia but it offers prescribers another treatment option for this illness. Its efficacy in treatment-resistant schizophrenia is not established; for these patients clozapine is generally considered the drug of choice.
Aripiprazole is a widely used antipsychotic drug supplied in various dosage forms of Aripiprazole Tablets, Aripiprazole Orodispersible tablets and Aripiprazole Oral solution. These formulations are approved by United States Food and Drug Administartion (USFDA) and European Medicinal Agency (EMA) under the brand name Abilify®, manufactured by Otsuka Pharmaceuticals Limited.1
Based upon the current market demands of the Aripiprazole worldwide, a complete review of the non-clinical (Animal) safety (toxicological studies), is of considerable importance.

  • OXYTOCIN – A POTENTIAL HORMONE

Oxytocin is a natural hormone that is released by the brain to help people bond with others. It is the hormone that helps bring on labor during childbirth, and the production of milk in lactating mothers. It is responsible for that strong bond between mother and child. Apart from this, oxytocin has also been found to strengthen the bond between partners during and after sex, and higher production levels can be triggered by many types of touching, such as kissing, cuddling and orgasm.

    ABSTRACT:
Chalcones are 1, 3-diphenyl-2-propene-1-one, consist of two aromatic rings linked by a three carbon a, ß-unsaturated carbonyl system. Mainly chalcone are synthesized by Claisen-schmidt condensation reaction (Cross-aldol reaction). Chalcones are well known intermediates for synthesizing various heterocyclic compounds. Chalcones, precursors of open chain flavonoids and isoflavonoids present in edible plants, and their derivatives have attracted increasing attention due to numerous potential pharmacological applications. They have displayed a broad spectrum of pharmacological activities. Changes in their structure have offered a high degree of diversity that has proven useful for the development of new medicinal agents having improved potency and lesser toxicity. The present review highlights the recently synthesized Chalcones and their derivatives possessing important pharmacological activities.

    ABSTRACT
The pharmaceutical sector is focused on development of new drugs and plant based drugs through investigation of leads from traditional system of medicine Ayurveda which is being practiced for thousands of years. Bauhinia variegata is a species of flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. Bauhinia variegata is native to southeastern Asia, from southern China west to Pakistan and India. The major chemical constituents of the plant was found to beflavone, 5,7-dimethoxy-30, 40-methylenedioxy flavone and a new dihydrodibenzoxepin,5,6-dihydro-1,7-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxy-methyldibenzoxepin, flavonolglycoside, triterpene saponin, phenanthraquinone, flavonoids.
