    ABSTRACT:
    One of the ways to market a new product is to change the old product. The rapid decline in consumption of the eggs over the last 50 year is one of the most challenging problems the industry is facing today. The high cholesterol content in eggs is a major contributing factor. This problem can be minimized by using designer eggs. This review article throws light on what a designer egg is all about and how it can be obtained, the advantages of designer egg over simple egg. Besides designer egg, this article also provides information about the specialty egg and fertile eggs. Designer eggs are those in which the content has been modified from standard egg. The content of the chicken egg can be changed in such a ways as to be more healthful. This designer egg is free from all negative factors and prepared by changing the diet of chicken or manipulating the immune system of laying chickens. Thus, Designer eggs are essentially an ideal food and vitamin supplemented product which offers the benefits like reduced cholesterol content, high unsaturated fatty acids, ideal omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, cardiac benefits, etc.

    ABSTRACT:-
    Carbon nanotubes have unique physical and chemical properties that chemists are trying to better understand through laboratory research. One of the physical properties of carbon nanotubes is that it’s possible to make them only a single atomic layer thick. This means that they can be about 1/50,000th the thickness of a human hair. Because of the bonding characteristics of carbon atoms, the physical appearance of carbon nanotubes can often resemble rolled up chicken wire. One of the interesting physical properties about carbon nanotubes is that when you have two of them which have slightly different physical structures and they are joined together, the junction (gap or small space) between them can function as an electronic device. This electronic behavior depends upon the structure of the two tubes. Currently scientists are trying to make carbon nanotubes in large amounts (high yield) with a high degree of purity (little or no material defects)so that the physical structures are all the same. If they have similar physical and chemical properties then it becomes easier to predict their behavior which would ultimately make them more useful for possible nano sensors. These nano sensors could behave like semiconducting materials in microelectronic circuits, or detect small changes in electric current, or register chemical reactivity, or changes in air pressure or temperature For a more detailed outline of the possible applications of carbon nanotubes see the further sections of this document. Since carbon nanotube science is relatively new, scientists from the fields of chemistry, physics and the material sciences are just beginning to unlock its mysteries and hypothesize about its potential applications.

  • FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT AND IN-VITRO EVALUATION OF HYDROPHILLIC MATRIX BASED SALBUTAMOL SULPHATE TABLETS

    ABSTRACT
    Salbutamol sulphate (SS), a directly acting sympathomimetic drug, is a good candidate for controlled release formulations due to its short half-life of 1.6-3 h but it is quite challenging because of its high water solubility. The purpose of this research work is to design oral controlled-release matrix tablets of Salbutamol Sulphate using hydrophilic polymers, and thus increase patient compliance by reducing its frequency of administration. Salbutamol Sulphate matrix tablets are to be designed by direct compression method using HPMC K4M CR, HPMC K100M CR and Xanthan gum as various release retarding agents. These release rate retardents are used to control the drug release up to 24 h for administration as once daily dose. The compatibility of the drug with the various excipients is to be studied using FT-IR and DSC. The effects of polymer concentration, polymer viscosity and binary mixtures of some polymers on the in-vitro drug release are to be studied. Salbutamol Sulphate matrix tablets are used for the treatment of respiratory disorders like choronic asthma,bronchitis, bronchiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) etc. . It possibly stimulates β-2 reseptors in lungs resulting in relaxation of smooth muscles by its β-2 agonist action.
