Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Delhi under the aegis of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), is engaged in research and developmental work in the areas of radiation biosciences and non-invasive imaging. At present, it is actively working on a program for “Enhancing Troops Health through Radiation Science Approach” with the following four research areas viz., (i) Development of approaches for radio-protection and therapy; (ii) Development of Simulation Based training facility, products and devices for the medical management of CBRN emergencies (iii) Development of Molecular Imaging Drugs and Enhancers and Applications for Armed Forces; (iv) Development of strategies for neuro-cognitive and endocrine functional assessment in health and disease.

INMAS is looking for meritorious young researchers for pursuing research in the frontier areas of Radiation Biology, Biotechnology, Stem Cells, Chemistry, Organic chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Nuclear Medicine, Biological Dosimetry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Veterinary Sciences, etc. INMAS possesses ambience of a research cum academic institute coupled with an advanced R&D infrastructure in the areas of radiation biosciences and non-invasive imaging. INMAS provides state of the art research facilities like PET Scanner & Cyclotron, 3-Tesla Human MRI, 7-Tesla Animal MR, 400 MHz Nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, Gamma Scintigraphy, Spiral CT, Human SPECT, Experimental Animal Facility, Confocal Microscopy, Multi-laser flow cytometers, Advanced Digital Radiology Bone Densitometer,Animal PET-SPECT-CT, Irradiation facilities like Gamma cell and Teletherapy Unit , etc. for facilitating pioneering research in defined areas of Biomedical sciences with defence applications.

Candidates possessing the requisite qualifications may attend Walk-in Interview at Institute. They should carry their brief Bio-data and qualification letter from concerned organisation. The award of JRF (GATE) will be as per stipulated guidelines. The Tenure, Qualifications, Age, Stipend, Leave and other benefits, etc will be according to government rules regulations. The number of vacancies may increase or decrease as per the requirement. Final selection will be based on candidates’ academic record and interview who fulfills all the eligibility. Eligible JRF candidate may be entitled to register for Ph.D Program of the University.
