Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Botany, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology or a related field or having M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Bioinformatic with three years of research experience and one research publication

Position of one Research Associate in Gates foundation funded project entitled Development of climate resilient chickpea and brassica by gene editing. Candidates having Ph.D. degrees in Plant Sciences, Life Sciences and Biochemistry or equivalent subject.

The successful candidate is expected to work on chickpea root nodule symbiosis, its transcriptomics and understanding the molecular mechanism behind plant immunity during root nodule symbiosis.

Candidates having Ph.D Degree in Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Botany, Life Sciences, Plant Molecular Biology or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines. Candidates with exhaustive work experience in the laboratory with plant molecular biology, biochemistry and, or bioinformatics will be preferred.

Candidates must hold an M.Sc. degree in any branch of Biological or Life Sciences. Applicants with experience in protein biochemistry especially protein-DNA interaction, molecular biology techniques such as cloning, and proficiency in basic bioinformatics tools are highly desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience working with yeast systems. 

The candidate is required to have working experience in RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, protein-protein interaction related techniques, microscopy and transcriptome analysis. Prior work experience in the field of root nodule symbiosis and proven publication in the field will be given preference. 

Masters degree in any branch of Biological, Life Sciences with 60% or Equivalent marks or an equivalent degree in any branch of Biological, Life Sciences with two years post-masters degree experience in research are eligible to apply.

Candidates having doctorate Ph.D degree in Life Science or equivalent including Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Plant Physiologywith a good publication record and fulfills the guidelines and norms of DST.

Candidates having a Ph.D degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Plant Molecular Biology or having three years of research experience after MV.Sc, M.Pharm, ME, M.Tech with good academic record and research experience in plant molecular biology field with at least one research publications in peer-reviewed SCI journals.
