Recruitment for Pharmacy Officer under District Health and Family Welfare Officers

Regarding online applications invited for filling up the sanctioned vacancies of Pharmacy Officer in the Health Department of Chikkaballapur District on contract basis. In connection with the subject, it is ordered that necessary steps be taken to fill the vacant posts of Pharmacy Officer sanctioned in the Health Department of Chikkaballapur District as per reference (1) and (2) on contract basis. Therefore, applications from eligible candidates are invited online as per rules to fill the said posts on temporary contract basis for a period of one year only.

Qualification : D-Pharm qualification should be obtained only from schools recognized by the Government of Karnataka  Also, D-Pharma candidates must appear in Karnataka Pharmacy Counseling

Age Limit : Must be registered Candidate's age should be within 45 years

Terms and Conditions
1. Government Order No.: CSU 06 September 2024, Dated: 20.05.2024 Reservation shall be mandatory while filling more than 20 posts on contract basis.
2. The revised minimum wage issued by the Labour Department from time to time shall be fixed.
3. No selection of contract employees shall be made without the approval of the Selection Committee.
4. Candidates should be informed that this contract is for a period of one year (up to 31.03.2027).
5. Candidates seeking reservation must submit certificates in this regard on the day of attending the Sanyan. And the said certificate must have a validity period. If certificates with expired validity are submitted, such a candidate will be rejected.
6. Rural and Kannada medium candidates from class 01 to 10 must compulsorily produce original documents for the interview.
7. Ex-servicemen, project refugees, disabled candidates must compulsorily produce original documents issued by the concerned government.
8. Candidates who do not have the educational qualification prescribed for the posts and are awaiting results will not be considered.
9. The staff selected on contract basis will not be entitled to permanent appointment, retirement pay, retirement gratuity, pay scale or any other allowances. And will not be eligible and cannot be questioned in court.
10. Since the selection is made for specific locations, there is no possibility of transfer/inter-transfer or assignment to any other location on the demand of the candidate.

11. The Recruitment Committee and the District Health and Family Welfare Association shall have the sole authority to take any decision related to the recruitment process.
12. The KNC certificate and Para Medical certificate of the candidates who have applied must be produced at the time of verification of original documents. In case of submission of expired certificates, such a candidate will be rejected.
13. After verification of original documents, details related to the provisional selection list can be obtained on the website chikkaballapur.nic.in.

14. The candidate shall produce the original documents i.e. educational qualification mark sheet, date of birth certificate etc. before the District Health and Family Welfare Officers while reporting for duty.
15. Junior Laboratory School Technical Officer on contract basis. Pharmacy Officer and Nursing Officer are subject to the condition that they may be released from duty at any time without giving any reason by giving one month's notice.
16. In case of complaint regarding the program, the candidate shall be released from duty after giving one week's notice and giving an opportunity to explain.
17. In case of loss caused due to misconduct, the condition should be adhered to to compensate the government.
18. They shall perform the duties and responsibilities assigned to them by the District Health and Family Welfare Officers and the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services from time to time without fail.
19. The Pharmacy Officer selected on contract basis shall not be eligible for permanent appointment, retirement allowance, retirement gratuity, pay scale or any other financial facility and this shall not be subject to question in the Hon'ble Court. Since the selection is made for specific places, there is no possibility of transfer/interchange or assignment to any other place on the demand of the candidate.

20. Leave facility for contract employees
As mentioned in the National Health Mission circular dated 10.02.2023, the leave facility of the staff has been extended to the said contract basis recruitment. The selected staff will be eligible to avail only the leaves available to temporary government employees. That is, one day of casual leave will be earned for every full month of service completed. Such leave can be availed separately or collectively as per the orders of the superiors.  Leave cannot be claimed as a right,
Employees appointed on contract basis are entitled to 10 days of leave on medical grounds in a year.
Female employees are entitled to 180 days of paid maternity leave (for the first two live births only).
Male employees are entitled to 15 days of paternity leave from the date of delivery of their wife.
In case of termination of pregnancy due to miscarriage or abortion, the maternity leave shall not exceed 6 weeks. The application for such leave shall be supported by a medical certificate from a registered medical practitioner.
Employees going on maternity leave shall be entitled to receive during the leave period a salary equal to the salary they were drawing immediately before the leave.
Female employees having more than two live children shall not be granted this maternity leave.
The concerned women staff shall submit a self-declaration to this effect to the officer sanctioning maternity leave along with the application for maternity leave.
Maternity leave for women staff appointed on contract basis shall be regularised for a maximum period of 180 days as follows:
The contract period of Mrs. X commences from 15.07.2021 and ends on 14.07.2022. If she goes on maternity leave on 01.05.2022 and her contract period is not extended, her maternity leave period shall be limited to the maximum period of the contract i.e. up to 14.07.2022.


21. The selected contract Junior Laboratory School Technical Officer, Pharmacy Officer and Nursing Officer shall not be released from duty if permanent employees of the department come to the place where they are performing their duties and no case shall be filed in this regard in the Honorable Karnataka Administrative Tribunal or any other court.
22. The selected Junior Laboratory School Technical Officer, Pharmacy Officer and Nursing Officer shall, before reporting for duty, sign an undertaking on a stamped paper of Rs. 100.00 (Rupees One Hundred) to the District Health and Family Welfare Officers 
23. Pharmacy Officer shall reside at the central place.
