Project Associate Job in the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship project at NIPGR

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Project Associate-I in the DST-INSPIRE Fellowship project entitled “Investigating the role of TOR-TAP signaling module in heat stress and nitrogen sensing and uptake in plants and its utilization for improving wheat for climate resilience”, under the supervision of Dr. Harsha Samtani, INSPIRE Faculty Fellow BRIC-NIPGR.

Post : Project Associate-I (one post)

Emoluments : ₹. 31,000/- per month plus 27% HRA, as sanctioned in the project.

Eligibility : Candidates having Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply. The upper age limit for the above post is 35 years.

Desirable Qualification : Candidate should have completed their M.Sc. dissertation related to Plant Sciences/Plant Molecular Biology/Plant Biotechnology. Candidates who are University rank holders and have at least one first-author publication will be given preference.

The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above position is as per DST/DBT norms and as sanctioned in the project. The initial appointment for the above post will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, and tenure of the post can be curtailed/extended based on the assessment of the candidate's performance and the discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one- month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.

Application Details : Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on June 15, 2026. Any candidate reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data in given format and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).

Note : Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
