Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research Associate-I in the DBT Indo-Canada project entitled “Understanding and exploiting the role of eukaryotic energy sensor TOR Kinase in enhancing thermotolerance and drought resistance in model and crop plants”, under the supervision of Dr. pinky Agarwal, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR
Post : Research Associate-I (one Post)
Emoluments : Rs. 58000/- plus 27% HRA per month as sanctioned in the project
Eligibility : Candidates should have Ph. D./MD/MS/MDS degree (awarded) in any discipline of Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Botany/Life Sciences/Plant Molecular Biology with at least one research paper in Science Citation indexed journal and fulfilling the guidelines as per DST OM number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated June 26, 2023 are eligible to apply. Candidates with prior work experience in the laboratory with extensive plant molecular biology experience, especially on rice will be preferred.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
Application Details : Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on May 21, 2026 at 10:00 am onwards along with the duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The duly filled application form along with self- attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 09:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on May 21, 2026. Any candidate reporting after 10:00 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
All the candidates are requested to appear for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph. D thesis, publication in copy and original degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s). Candidates must mail copies of all certificates (class 10th onwards) to pinky.agarwal@nipgr.ac.in by 19th May, 2026. They are required to bring original certificates for verification and a CV in the prescribed attached format at the time of the interview.
Note : Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
