The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, BITS Pilani is an all-India Institute for higher education. The Institute is a dream come true of its founder late Mr G.D.Birla - an eminent industrialist, a participant in Indian freedom struggle and a close associate of the Father of Indian Nation late Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi).

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project sponsored by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), under the supervision of Dr. Onkar Kulkarni, Department of Pharmacy, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus, Hyderabad.

Post: Junior Research Fellow- One

Title of the project: “Functional role of histone deacetylase 5 (HDAC5) in the pathogenesis of chronic kidney diseases and renal fibrosis”

Duration of the project: 24 months

Fellowship amount: Rs 25,000 + HRA

Eligibility requirements:
M. Pharm in Medicinal/pharmaceutical Chemistry, Possessing MSc/M Tech/M Pharm in (Pharmacology or Biotechnology or Biochemistry), GATE (GPAT) qualified or having 2 years of research experience after MSc/ M. Pharm degree. Age limit maximum 30 years)
Relaxation of age limit as per DBT rules.

Please note that only qualified and suitable candidates will be called for interview to be held at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus in the third week of November, 2017 and no TA/DA will be paid for the interview. Selected candidate may be permitted to register for Ph.D programme of BITS-Pilani, subject to the fulfillment of the requirements.
