Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H) was created in March,1995 and re-named as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November, 2003 with a view to providing focused attention to development of Education & Research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy systems. The Department continued to lay emphasis on upgradation of AYUSH educational standards, quality control and standardization of drugs, improving the availability of medicinal plant material, research and development and awareness generation about the efficacy of the systems domestically and internationally.

A Walk–in-interview will be held on 16.08.2011 at 11:00 a.m. for selection of one AYUSH Consultant (Tech.) under WHO Agreement for Performance of Work on a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 50,130/- Per Month to be posted in IC Section, Dept. of AYUSH. Consultant (Technical) will examine the proposals relating to International Cooperation/International Health on AYUSH from technical angle and also perform other work assigned from time to time by senior officials. The Consultant (Tech.) will work under the overall supervision of Section Head. He/she will also perform other work assigned from time to time by senior officials.

2. The appointment will be purely on contract basis for a period upto 31st December 2011 and is likely to be continued based on the performance. This contractual appointment is for a limited period and will not confer any right or privileges on the appointee for regular appointment. The details of qualification, experience and selection procedure are as under:

Qualification: Post-graduate Degree in one of the disciplines of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani, Naturopathy & Homoeopathy with computer skill of wordprocessing, Excel and Power Point.

Experience: Minimum experience of 2 years as Junior Research Fellow/Sr. Research Fellow in any scientific organisation of Central/State/UT Govt. including experience in Traditional Knowledge Digital Library Project.

Age: Applicants should be less than 40 yeas of age.

Selection Procedure: The selection will be made on the basis of their performance in the interview and their merit in UG and PG;

Note: Qualification and experience is relaxable by the competent authority in the event of candidates found suitable.
