The Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University was established at Nanded by bi-furcating the Marathwada University, Aurangabad on 17th September 1994, the day on which in 1948 Hyderabad State was liberated from rule of the Nizam. Nanded is a district headquarters as well as a holy city situated on the banks of Godavari River in southeastern part of Maharashtra state.

Qualification (As per AICTE norms and SRTM university rules) for following posts
Professor: - Bachelor & Master Degree in Pharmacy with First class or equivalent either in Bachelor or Masters Degree and Ph.D or equivalent in appropriate discipline. Minimum of 10 years experience in teaching and/ or research and/ or industry of with at least 5 years should be at the level of Associate professor or 13 years experience in teaching and/ or research and /or industry.
Associate Professor: - Bachelor & Master Degree in Pharmacy with First class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master Degree and Ph.D or equivalent in appropriate discipline. Minimum of 5years experience in teaching and/ or research and /or industry of with at least 2 years shall be post Ph.D
Assistant Professor: - Bachelor and Master Degree in Pharmacy with First class or equivalent either in Bachelors or Master Degree. Librarian: - Bachelor and Master Degree in Library science with first class and SET/NET or Ph.D.
Pay Scale: - Pay Scale and other all allowances as per the rules of U.G.C., State Government, Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded.
