Vacancy at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology for the Post of RA/SRF

The Institute was established in 1935 as the first non official centre in India for biomedical research and was included within the aegis of CSIR in 1956. CSIR-IICB today is engaged in research on diseases of national importance and biological problems of global interest, employing sophisticated state-of-the-art technology in keeping with the rapid and unprecedented momentum that life science research has gained globally over the last 50 years. The scientific staff has expertise in a variety of areas including chemistry, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, neurobiology and immunology which promotes productive interdisciplinary interaction.

Post: RA/SRF (Extended)

Position: One

Title of the project : Targeting Deadenylation-medicated kinetoplastidae parasite-specific polycistronic gene regulation for therapeutic intervention.

Duration: Three(3) years.

Essential Qualifications: Ph.D in Life Sciences. Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D thesis but not awarded degree may be considered for the position of Extended SRF.

Age limit: 35 Years. If selected as Extended Senior Project Fellow then age limit will be 33 years.

Stipend : Rs.36,000/- p.m. + HRA(However if the candidate is selected as SRF (Extended) the fellowship will be Rs. 20,000/- p.m. + HRA).

Desirable Experience : Working experience in the field of Cell Biology with experience in biochemical and immunological techniques like immunoprecipitation, transtection, FACS analysis, immunocontocal microscopy, cell culture and animal experimentation proven by a few published paper in reputed Journals.

Terms & Conditions : The engagement is purely temporary and, therefore, does not confer any right / claim implicit or explicit for regularization or absorption against any IICB / CSIR post. The age and qualifications will be reckoned as on the date of interview. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC / ST / OBC / PH and women candidates as per rules.
