About the Department
Corporate Patents – GSC (CP-GSC) together with Corporate Patents Denmark (CP-DK), Novo Nordisk Inc. Intellectual Property Department (NNI-IPD) forms Novo Nordisk’s Global Patent Organization (GPO). CP-GSC provides Prior Art Searches (Novelty & Freedom of Operation Searches), Patent Prosecution and Patent Coordinator Support to the GPO.

 Job  Description
1.Delivers patent prosecution for all assigned India cases and any WW cases.
2. Delivers all assigned prior art searches independently, ex., novelty searches, Freedom of Operation searches, invalidity searches, etc.
3. Mentors junior/less experienced colleagues, proof-reads or checks their work, as required by the Manager.
4. Effectively coordinates with the concerned global patent attorney and external Indian law firms for handling all types of IP conflicts arising in India, such as, patent oppositions, patent infringements, etc.
5. Solid interpersonal skills for collaborating effectively with everyone in the department.
6. Superior communication skills and written/spoken English language skills.

Candidate Profile :
Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology or Biochemistry. Prefer a Master’s degree.
Professional experience
1. Certified as a Registered Indian Patent Agent.
2. Has completed at least 2 years as a Senior Patent Information Specialist and demonstrated potential for patent prosecution at Novo Nordisk, OR has at least 1-2 years of similar relevant experience outside Novo Nordisk.
3. Has a good knowledge and application of IP aspects related to patentability and Freedom of Operation: At least 3 years of hands-on experience in conducting novelty searches and Freedom of Operation searches.
