Walk in interview for Research Associate & Senior Research Fellow at NIRRH

National Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIRRH), formerly known as Institute for Research in Reproduction is a premier research institute of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). It is situated in the vicinity of a number of hospitals and research institutes in central Mumbai. Since its inception in 1970, it has been making vigorous efforts to improve the reproductive health of people through research, education and health care services. The Institute is affiliated to the University of Mumbai which awards degrees to the M.Sc. and Ph.D students in the areas of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry and Applied Biology. The Institute is one of the few centers in India , which can boast of a team of basic, clinical and operational research scientists and state-of-art laboratories equipped with modern facilities to carry out research on various components of reproductive health.

Applications are invited through Walk-in-interview on 30th January 2017 between 09:00 hrs. to 11:00 hrs for the following vacancy, purely on temporary basis, in the ad-hoc research project

TITLE PROJECT: IDENTIFICATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF A POTENTIAL STEM CELL GROWTH FACTOR FROM THE PERIVITELLINE FLUID OF THE FERTILIZED EGGS OF THE INDIAN EGGS OF THE HORSESHOE CRAB FOR ITS APPLICATION IN STEM CELL RESEARCH.

Name of the Post : Research Associate
Stipend : Rs.36,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
OR Rs.38,000/- + 30% HRA p.m. OR Rs.40,000/- + 30% HRA p.m.
Essential qualification :
Ph.D. in Life Sciences. OR Ph.D. in Life Sciences with one year experience.
OR Ph.D. in Life Sciences with more than one year experience.
Desire qualification : Experience in Stem Cell Research
Age Limit :Not exceeding 40 years (in case of woman candidate the upper age limit is relaxed by two years)
Duration : Up to 18th May 2017

If no suitable candidate is found, the post will be filled with Senior Research Fellow on a stipend of Rs.28,000/- + 30% HRA) with the Qualification of Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification with 2 years of research experience or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification with 2 years of research experience or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with 2 years of research experience (Desire qualification: Experience in Stem Cell Research; Age Limit: Not exceeding: 35 Years.)

TITLE PROJECT: DECIPHERING THE ROLE OF SURFACTANT PROTEIN D IN PROTECTING MALE FERTILITY DURING INFECTION AND INFLAMMATION

Essential qualification :
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification with 2 years of research experience or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification with 2 years of research experience or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with 2 years of research experience
Desire qualification : Experience in Research of Male reproductive tract
Age Limit :Not exceeding 35 Years
Duration : Initially period of one year Extendable upto 4th Dec 2019
