Tasks
The Head (Technical/Manufacturing) will report to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Unit.
The other responsibilities include the following:
• Timely execution of the Integrated Vaccine Project ensuring high quality standards.
• Obtaining statutory approvals and clearances for the Integrated Vaccine Project.
• Project Management: Negotiations, Finalization & Award of Tenders & contracts, Management of Consultants and
• Contractors Management of Inter-disciplinary project issues, Co-ordination between key project stake holders, Progress Monitoring etc.
• Develop and establish operating policies consistent with the CEOs broad policies and objectives and ensures their adequate execution.
• Develop and establish adequate and equitable personnel policies throughout the organization, including compensation policies and employee benefit plans.
• Establish performance goals, allocate resources and assess policies.
• Motivate and lead a high performance management team.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plan for the growth objectives of the organization.
• Participate in the development and preparation of short-term and long-term plans and budgets based upon broad organization goals and objectives.
• Direct internal operations to achieve budgeted results.
• Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies.

Requirements
Maximum Age: 50 Years as on 01/12/2014.
Scale of Pay: 36600-62000

Pay: Annual CTC - AVP: 14.50 Lakhs (approx.) at the minimum of the scale.

Qualification:
Essential: Graduate in Engineering ( Or) Post-graduation in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy

Desirable: Ph.D

Post Qualification Experience:
Essential:
• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in Manufacturing Industry preferably in Vaccine / Biological Science / Life Science, out of which minimum 7 years should be in a senior managerial position.
• Experience from Science / Bio-Technology Industries with hands on experience in Operation / Production / QC / Sales & Marketing.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability for timely execution of Projects
• Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, HR and strategic planning.
• Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external customers
• Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently under pressure.
• Ability to lead, plan and manage change
• Ability to lead and motivate high performing workforce.

Desirable:
Working knowledge of SAP / ERP desirable.
