Two Research Associates and one Technical Assistant position are immediately available in the Metabolic Engineering Group, ICGEB. PhD in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology. In silico vector design, DNA cloning, Genetic transformation of microorganisms, PCR, RT-PCR, ddPCR, GC-MS

Fellowship as per the norms of funding agencies. Applicants must hold M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Medical Laboratory Technology or M.Tech in Biotechnology or related fields.

Obtained MSc degree with consistently good academic record, with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA.

The incumbent should have a Ph.D. in Natural / Agricultural Sciences / Biotechnology from a recognized University or equivalent. Candidates must have prior experience with handling cyanobacterial strains and high-density cultures.

First class M.Sc. (60% or equivalent grade) in any branch of science (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, etc.) or M.Tech. or MBBS or M.V.Sc. or M.Pharm. or 4-year /8 Semester B.Sc (Honours with Research) with 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA or equivalent qualification recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi is required.

Hands-on experience/expertise in processing, analysis, and biological interpretation of untargeted metabolomics and lipidomic datasets using proprietary and freely available software tools such as MetaboAnalyst, MS-DIAL, LipidXplorer, OpenMS and or related platforms. 

The incumbent should have an M.Sc. in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences/ Biotechnology or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.

SMART Fellowships are intended to promote collaboration among researchers in ICGEB Member Countries. Mobility support to laboratories located in Italy, India and South Africa can be considered under exceptional circumstances and only if the research activity proposed is not covered by one of the ICGEB laboratories in Trieste, New Delhi or Cape Town.
