ICGEB

The incumbent should have an M.Sc. in Natural/ Agricultural Sciences/ Biotechnology or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.

SMART Fellowships are intended to promote collaboration among researchers in ICGEB Member Countries. Mobility support to laboratories located in Italy, India and South Africa can be considered under exceptional circumstances and only if the research activity proposed is not covered by one of the ICGEB laboratories in Trieste, New Delhi or Cape Town.

Applicants must be nationals of Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya or Uganda in order to apply. Displaced researchers currently working in any of the four countries are considered nationals of these countries.

Applicants should contact the ICGEB Group Leader/PI of their choice with a motivation letter to determine availability of laboratory space and to define the research project proposal that will form an integral part of the application.

M.Sc/M.Tech in Life Sciences or another related field with courses in fermentation technology / bioprocess technology. For SRF, two years of research experience after master's degree. 

Post-graduate degree in any life science field, physics or Mathematics or M.Tech degree in a related field.

Masters degree MSc in any field of Bioinformatics / Molecular Biology / Life sciences / or M.Tech degree in a related field.

M.Sc. Biotechnology / MSc Life Sciences. Candidates with experience in flow cytometry and working in BSL-III will be given preference.
