Applications are invited to appear at a walk-in-interview for one post of Junior Research Fellow in the DST sponsored project entitled “Development of aspartyl-tRNA synthetase from Entamoeba histolytica as a target for antimicrobial drugs against amibiasis” in the room of the HOD, Department of Biotechnology and the Coordinator, DR. B. C.

A walk in interview for filling up three posts of Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) under the DBT Funded Projects entitled “Application of RNAi technology for augmenting broiler production”, “Identification of probiotic strain(s) from gut metage-nome of Assam indigenous chicken” and “Thermotolerance gene expression analysis in Salmonella typhimurium and development of their thermal death time models applicable to poultry processing” at Committee Room of Administrative Bloc

The interview will be held for appointment to the posts of Research Fellow (02) and Jr. Analyst (01) at the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) at the above address. The appointments will be on contractual basis and the incumbent shall have no claim for regular appointment under NDTL. The tenure of the appointment will be initially for a period of one year from the date of appointment which can be extended from time to time depending on performance.

With a coastline of about 3,500 miles, inland sources in Rajasthan and Little Rann of Kutch, and the rock salt mines in Mandi, India have possibilities of attaining a high position in salt production among the salt producing countries of the world. As is known, apart from being an indispensable item of food, salt is an important raw material for the manufacture of several heavy chemicals e.g. soda ash, caustic soda and chlorine.

Applications are invited from young and meritorious Indian citizens for filling up one position of JRF funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India. The current project ongoing draw from recent high throughput-drug discovery campaigns, “Antifolate hit-to-lead optimization for PfDHFR-TS inhibition”.

Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) was established at Ludhiana by an act of the Punjab Legislature No. 16 of 2005 notified in the Punjab Government Gazette on August 9, 2005 and it started functioning w.e.f. April 21, 2006 for promoting livestock production, health and prevention of the disease(s) through integrated teaching, research and extension programme(s).
