Applications are invited from eligible, motivated, and research-oriented candidates for the following purely contractual positions under the Health Technology Assessment in India (HTAIn) – Technical Resource Centre (TRC) established at NIPER Hajipur with support from the ICMR-Department of Health Research (DHR), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India.
The HTAIn-TRC at NIPER Hajipur is envisaged as a state-level technical and research support centre for Bihar aimed at strengthening evidence-based healthcare decision-making and policy support through Health Technology Assessment (HTA), pharmacoeconomics, epidemiology, health systems research, healthcare costing, public health analytics, and policy-oriented healthcare research.
Health Economist (Level of Scientist C)
Number of Posts : 01 (One)
Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 67,000/- + HRA per month
Upper Age Limit for Fresh Recruits : 40 Years
Essentials :
• Masters in Health Economics/ Economics/ Public Health/Community Medicine with specialization in Healthcare Costing, Economic Evaluation.
• 2 years of experience in the field of health economics for Junior Staff and 6 years for Seniors
Desirable :
• PhD. in the related field.
• Proficiency in MS Office, VBA and TreeAge.
Roles & Responsibilities :
• Conduct economic evaluation, healthcare costing, and HTA studies.
• Support budget impact analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis.
• Assist in development of policy-oriented evidence and HTA reports.
• Coordinate with collaborating institutions and stakeholders.
Scientist D (Medical/Non-Medical) / Senior Research Officer
Number of Posts : 01 (One)
Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 78,000/- + HRA per month

Essentials (Medical) :
• Post Graduate Degree (MD/MS/DNB/MPH) after MBBS with 6 years research
experience in the relevant field.
OR
• MBBS degree with 8 years’ experience or Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS with 5 years’ experience in the relevant subject.
OR
Ph.D in the relevant subject (Community Medicine/Preventive & Social Medicine/ Paediatrics/ Medicine/ Tropical Medicine/ Community Health Administration/Health Administration/ Family Medicine/ Epidemiology/ Public Health) from a recognized
university with 5 years’ experience in the relevant field.
PLUS
• 2 years’ experience in the management of R & D projects in a team effectively.
Desirable :
• Additional Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications/Data Management.
Essentials (Non-Medical) :
• Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology subject from a recognized
University with 5 years R&D/Teaching experience in relevant subject after Ph.D.
OR
• First class MPH/ Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy)/Master’s degree in the relevant subjects from a recognized university with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after 1st Class Master’s Degree.
OR
• Second class M.Sc/MPH + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject from a recognized University with 8 years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject post qualification.
PLUS
• 2 years experience in the management of R & D projects in a team effectively.
Desirable :
• Post-doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized Institute(s).

• Assist in planning and implementation of research studies.
• Conduct literature review, data collection, evidence synthesis, and analysis.
• Support project documentation, report writing, and scientific communication.
• Assist in organization of workshops and training programs.
Field Officer
Number of Posts : 01 (One)
Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 25,000/ – 30,000/- per month
Age limit : 35 Years
Essential Qualifications :
• Graduate in Science/ relevant subjects from a recognized university with 3 years of work experience from a recognized institution or master’s degree in the relevant subject or
Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualifications :
• Experience in hospital-based research/public health surveys.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
Roles & Responsibilities :
• Coordinate field-level implementation and monitoring activities.
• Liaise with hospitals and collaborating institutions.
• Supervise field data collection and quality assurance activities
Field Investigator
Number of Posts : 01 (One)
Consolidated Remuneration : Rs. 30,000/- – 32,000/- per month
Age limit : 35 Years
Essential Qualifications :
Graduate in Science/ relevant subjects from a recognized university with 3 years of work experience from a recognized institution or master’s degree in the relevant subject or Pharm D (Doctor of Pharmacy) from a recognized institution.
Desirable Qualifications :
• Experience in hospital-based research/public health surveys.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
Roles & Responsibilities :
• Conduct patient interviews and field data collection.
• Maintain study records and documentation.
• Assist in project implementation and field coordination activities.
General Instructions/Terms and conditions
1. All positions are purely temporary and contractual under the HTAIn Technical Resource Centre project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India.
2. The initial appointment shall ordinarily be for a period of one year and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and continuation of the project.
3. The engagement is purely temporary and contractual for project purposes only and does not confer any right for regular appointment/absorption in the Institute.
4. The Institute reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts or cancel the recruitment process without assigning any reason.
5. Mere fulfillment of minimum qualifications does not guarantee shortlisting/interview.
6. The Institute reserves the right to shortlist candidates based on qualification, experience, publications, and relevance of experience to the project requirements.
7. Selection process may include shortlisting, written test, skill test, and/or interview as decided by the Institute/Selection Committee.
8. Preference may be given to candidates having experience in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), health economics, epidemiology, healthcare analytics, implementation research, pharmacoeconomics, public health research, or multicentric studies.
9. Age relaxation and relaxation in eligibility criteria may be considered for exceptionally meritorious candidates as per applicable Government of India/DHR/Institute norms.
10. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview/test.
11. Candidates appearing for interview/document verification must produce original certificates/testimonials in support of educational qualifications, experience, age, identity proof, and other relevant documents.
