Central Railway was carved out of erstwhile GIP Railway o­n November 5, 1951. Central Railway covers a large part of the state of Maharashtra and parts of North-Eastern Karnataka and Southern Madhya Pradesh. In view of spread of COVID 19 in the country and detection of positive cases in the state and in obedience to the instructions of Govt, of Odisha H& FW dept no. 8907 dated 23.03.2020,and in order to augment the health workforce at PRMMCH, Baripada, it has been decided to engage the staff nurses and other paramedical staff upto 65 years of age on DAILY WAGES, as per the Labour and ESI Dept. Notification No. 11688/LC dated (Pharma) 07.11.2019 along with the special incentive for COVID-19. The engagement shall be given till 30th June 2020 and may be extended further if situation so warrants. The engagement is purely temporary and can be terminated at any point of time without assigning any reason thereof.

East Coast Railway – one of the blue chip zones of Indian Railways came into existence in its present form with effect from 1st April 2003. Since then, the new zonal railway headquarter has been functioning at Bhubaneswar, the capital city in the state of Orissa. The geographical jurisdiction of the railway is however extended over three states encompassing almost all parts of Orissa alongwith parts of Srikakulam, Vizainagaram & Visakhapatnam districts of North Eastern Andhra Pradesh, and Bastar & Dantewada districts of Chhatisgarh State. As such, these regions with a long coastal line are rich in mineral and other natural resources, and are on the threshold of an industrial upsurge.
