Entrance Exams

GPAT is a national level examination for award of scholarship to qualified candidates seeking entry into Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharm) course. The first GPAT was conducted in the year 2010 and thereafter it is conducted every year till 2018 by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the directions of Ministry of Education, Government of India and from the year 2019, the examination is conducted through the National Testing Agency (NTA) as per the directions of Ministry of Education, Government of India to till 2023.

On the 50th Anniversary year of the Indian Independence, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi has instituted the  Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. The Board has been incorporated with the purpose of recruiting capable, competent, highly skilled individuals by conducting written tests, professional tests and personal interviews wherever as desired.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), which is now known as Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI) has established the National Testing Agency (NTA) as an independent, autonomous, and self-sustained premier testing organization under the Societies Registration Act (1860) for conducting efficient, transparent and international standards tests in order to assess the competency of candidates for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

A need was felt to establish a nationally cohesive, interdisciplinary Ph.D. programme in biosciences to expand the scale of generating highly skilled, globally competitive human resource. It was envisioned that the trained human resource produced through this programme would be better equipped to provide bioscience-based pioneering solutions to contemporary problems relevant nationally and globally.
