SAIL, Rourkela Steel Plant invites applications from Pharmacy candidates

Rourkela Steel Plant invites applications from all the eligible Indian Citizens to utilize the opportunity to join the One Year Apprenticeship Training Programme (as per the Apprentices Act 1961 and its subsequent amendments) as an Apprentice at RSP, Rourkela for the year 2026-27. This programme is designed to provide hands-on experience and practical knowledge in a profession environment, helping participants enhance their skills and boost their career prospects. Branch / Discipline : Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharma) DP
No. of Vacancy : Diploma 06 post
Qualification : Diploma in the respective disciplines of Engineering from a Govt. recognized Institute/ University.
Stipend Per Month : Rs.12,300/-per month(for Graduate App.) and Rs. 10,900/- (for Diploma App.) or as per prescribed rates by MSDE, GoI (50% of stipend paid by RSP & 50% from BOPT Under DBT Mode)
Eligibility : 1. Those candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are ONLY eligible to apply.
2. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in last Five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are ONLY eligible.
3. Those candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared/available as on Last date of Application are NOT eligible.
4. Candidates who had undergone apprenticeship training or at present undergoing apprenticeship training under any establishment or job experience for a period of ONE year are NOT eligible.
Age Limit : Minimum age NOT Less than 18 years and maximum 28 years as on date 31st August, 2026.
Reservation : As per the guidelines of Govt. of Odisha, shall be followed with applicable age relaxation.

Requirement Before Filling On-Line Registration
I. Before applying, candidates have to first register themselves in online portals of the following agencies of Govt. of India :
(a) For Trade Apprentices: In the link apprenticeshipindia.org/.
(b) For Graduate/Technician Apprentices: National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) in the link nats.education.gov.in.
II. The candidate must have an active email ID and Mobile Number which must be valid for at least next one year. All future communication will take place only through e-mail
III. The candidate must ascertain the correctness of all information before filling in the online registration and its final submission. The bank account number must be DBT enabled with KYC Verified.
IV. The candidate shall be wholly/exclusively responsible for the information provided in his/her online registration.
V. After successful registration/application online, the candidate must take a print out of the filled-in online application for future reference.

SELECTION
1. Depending upon the vacancies available in various categories and disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of academic merit through a walk-in process by assigning 30% weight-age to marks secured in Class-X examination and 70% weight-age to marks secured in Degree/Diploma/ITI examination, as applicable.

• Rourkela Steel Plant will not provide any sort of accommodation during the training. Apprentices shall have to make their own arrangement.
• RSP is not liable for providing any sort of Travel Allowance to the applicants.
• Engagement for training of selected candidates is subject to his/her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Apprentices Act, 1961. Medical certificate is to be issued by Govt. doctor. Seal on the certificate should contain medical registration number of the doctor.
• Management reserves the sole right to cancel the selection process there under at any point of time whatsoever. Decision of Management regarding the selection will be final. Further Management reserves the full right to fill up or otherwise any for all vacancies for apprenticeship depending on the availability of the candidates in any trade/discipline. The vacancies in each apprenticeship trade are indicative and may vary during selection process.
• RSP shall have no obligation to offer regular employment to Apprentices during and/or after the completion of the apprenticeship training.

HOW TO APPLY
For Degree/Diploma : Candidates are advised to register as a student online on https://nats.education.gov.in. After registering oneself, one can login into the home page of NATS portal as candidate then go to Establishments Requests than click Find Establishments. Candidate should select Steel Authority of India Limited, Rourkela Steel Plant to apply in passed out branch of engineering appearing on the portal. After successful apply in the respective portal, interested and eligible candidates who meet the notified criteria may walk-in as per the schedule mentioned below.

Documents Verification & Submission at the time of Walk In :
• Original Institution Leaving Certificate (to be retained by the RSP till completion of
training).
• Self attested copy of Matriculation certificate for DOB verification.
• Self attested copy of Provisional Pass Certificate
• Self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PH Certificate
• Self attested copy of Adhaar Card/Pass book (e-KYC Validation Mandatory)
• Medical Fitness Certificate from the Govt. Hospital.
• Apprentice Registration copy from NAPS/NATS Portal

JOINING : The date of Joining and Venue of the selected candidates will be intimated through e-mail only.

LAST DATE OF APPLY IN RESPECTIVE PORTAL : 26th August, 2026
1. Candidates are requested to fill up correct details against all the fields along with uploading of scanned copies of all the mandatory documents.
2. The marks obtained in the qualifying exam are to be mentioned in percentage. In case of CGPA, candidates are requested to convert the CGPA into percentage as per their board/university norms and the same may be verified during document verification.
3. Incomplete/erroneous application after the last date will be rejected. No further communication in this regard will be entertained.
4. Canvassing of any kind shall disqualify the candidate.
