The Government of India has declared NIPER as an 'Institute of National Importance'. It is an autonomous body set up under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India. General Eligibility for NIPER JEE 2026
The candidate should have qualified GPAT/GATE/NET/or any other National Fellowship and should possess a valid score card for the same. In addition to the above-mentioned, candidates should have cleared subject-wise qualifying degree with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or CGPA of 6.75 on a 10-point scale wherever grades are awarded or equivalent. Percentage of marks or CGPA so calculated will be based on the norms fixed by the concerned University/ Institution or aggregate marks or CGPA scored by the candidate for all years of the qualifying degree, in case the University/ Institution has not prescribed any norm for calculating such percentage or CGPA.
For students ‘awaiting’ final year results : All candidates who are completing their final semester examinations on or before 31st July, 2026, are eligible to apply. For such candidates ('awaiting’ final result), the following documents must be submitted at the time of counselling in addition to other required documents/Annexures: -
1. A Bonafide certificate issued by the Head of the concerned College/University, stating that the candidate has appeared in the final semester examination of the qualifying degree.
2. An undertaking on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 100/- by the candidate, stating that in case the final result is not declared by the College/University till 15th Sept. 2026 and/or the candidate fails in the qualifying exam, the candidate will have no claim to the allotted seat.
Relaxations in Eligibility Criteria
a) Relaxation in CGPA to 6.25 (on a 10-point scale) or in marks to 55% or equivalent in the eligibility criteria is allowed for SC and ST candidates.
b) Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PH/PwBD candidates) are permitted relaxation in the eligibility requirement of CGPA to 5.75 (on a 10-point scale) or to 50% marks or equivalent. No relaxation beyond this will be allowed, even if they belong to the SC/ST category.
c) GPAT/GATE/NET/ any other National Fellowship requirement is relaxed for the following categories of candidates: Candidates holding B.V.Sc./M.B.B.S./B.A.M.S./B.D.S. degree/ Foreign Nationals/Sponsored candidates (as described in sections 2.2b and 2.6).
Application Procedure
Applicants (Indian nationals and those belonging to OCI/PIO category who have secured OCI/PIO card before 04.03.2021) shall apply online on https://niper.gov.in/niperjee2026 as per instructions given on the website. The process of online application shall commence from 16-04-2026 onwards and will continue till 16-05-2026 (The proposed dates are tentative, and any change will be updated on the NIPER Mohali / NIPER JEE 2026 website). The webpage for the online application form can be accessed through the link provided on the official website of NIPER Mohali / NIPER JEE 2026 (niper.gov.in/niperjee2026). The online application process comprises of following steps:

Step 3 : Payment of Application Fee
Step 4 : Verify your details and submit your Application Form
Step 5 : Take the printout of the Application Form and submit at the time of admission.
While filling the online application form, please choose the email ID you access frequently, as all communications from the NIPER JEE Office will be sent to that email ID only (do not use anybody else’s email address). NIPER JEE 2026 office is in no way responsible in case wrong email ID or mobile number is registered.

Note : 1. NIPER JEE 2026 will be conducted as a single exam ONLY for all the Masters programmes including M.S. (Pharm.)/ M. Pharm./M.Tech./MBA (Pharm.) courses. Those who are interested in joining MBA (Pharm.) programme need to opt YES option at the appropriate place while filling the online application form.
Important Information for NIPER JEE 2026
• Login to the portal using your Application ID and password. Keep this information safe and do not disclose it to anyone.
• Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria (section 2.1) thoroughly before filling the application form.
• In case an applicant appears in the entrance test but otherwise does not fulfil the minimum eligibility requirement, NIPER JEE 2026 and/or the admission- granting Institute reserves the right to refuse or cancel admission at any point of time if it is found that :
o The minimum eligibility requirement is not fulfilled.
o Suspicious documentation has been made, or evidence has been suppressed.
o Any other reason for disqualification.
• In case of any dispute arising because of any typographical mistake or otherwise while filling up the application form, the decision of the Chairman, NIPER JEE 2026 shall be final and binding on the candidates.
• No application fee will be refunded in any of the above cases.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR MASTER PROGRAMMES
a) Admission to M.S.(Pharm.), M.Pharm. and M.Tech. programmes will be conducted through counselling procedure. Counselling will be based on merit of the candidates in written examination of NIPER JEE 2026 conducted for admission to M.S. (Pharm.)/ M.Pharm./M.Tech. category.
b) Admission for MBA (Pharm.) programme is based on combined merit in the common entrance exam (85%) and Group Discussion (GD)/Personal Interview (15%). Note: Candidates must attend GD In-person at NIPER. The exact dates will be notified on the NIPER JEE 2026 website. TA/DA will NOT be paid for attending GD.
c) The provisional admission letter will be issued to the successful candidates only after submission of all the requisite documents and the payment of the requisite fees after the counselling.
d) The details of payable fees are provided in “Payment of Fees” head (Section 4.1 of the brochure). Candidates will be required to submit the requisite original documents as mentioned in section 3.4
