Post : Director - Pharmacy & Allied Health
Position Overview : We are seeking an accomplished and visionary leader to join our Institution as the Director - Pharmacy & Allied Health. The Director will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership to the School/Faculty of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards in teaching, research, regulatory compliance, industry collaboration, and institutional development in alignment with national and international academic benchmarks.
Job Description
• Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the departments of Pharmacy and Allied Health.
• Oversee curriculum design, implementation, review, and compliance with PCI and other regulatory bodies.
• Ensure the effective delivery of teaching, research, and community engagement activities.
• Promote faculty development, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
• Lead accreditation and quality assurance processes.
• Establish partnerships with industry, healthcare institutions, and research bodies.
• Supervise budget planning, resource allocation, and infrastructure development.
• Foster an environment of innovation, integrity, and academic excellence.
• Ensure student success and oversee grievance redressal and academic advising systems.
Candidate Profile
Essential :
Ph.D. in Pharmacy or a related discipline.
B.Pharm and M.Pharm from recognized institutions with PCI-approved qualifications.
Minimum 15 years of academic experience in teaching/research/administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (e.g.. Professor/HoD/Dean).
Proven research record with publications in reputed journals and/or patents.
Desirable :
Experience in institutional accreditation (NAAC, NBA) and pharmacy council inspections.
Active member of professional bodies (e.g.. I PA, APTI).
Experience in handling interdisciplinary allied health programs.
Skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage diverse academic programs.
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks (PCI, UGC, NAAC, NBA).
• Proven record in teaching, research, and academic administration.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to institutional development.
• Capable of building and sustaining academic-industry linkages
