Anna University looking for PG in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology candidates

Applications are invited for the Temporary Position of “Project Assistant” in the CMRG Scheme 2024-25, DOTE, Tamil Nadu sponsored research project titled “Development of Nasal Therapeutics for Treatment of Respiratory Distress Syndrome” Project ID. CMRG2400910 in the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology & Centre for Excellence in Nanobio Translational Research (Autonomous), University College of Engineering, Anna University, BIT campus, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, PIN-620024.

Post : Project Assistant (01 Post)

Emoluments : Rs. 25000/- Per Month (Consolidated)

Minimum and Essential Qualifications : PG in Life Sciences (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmacology etc.) OR UG/PG in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Engg./ Tech., Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Medical, Veterinary, or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications : Basic skills in cell biology, pharmacology, and biochemical techniques; Experience in nasal/inhalation drug delivery and nanoparticle formulation; Hands-on in cell culture, in vitro assays, fluorescence microscopy, and analytical tools (HPLC, DLS, UV–Vis); Familiarity with animal handling and respiratory disease models; Prior work in respiratory therapeutics or nanomedicine

General Information
1. Only short-listed candidates will be notified. The specific date, time, and venue for the interview will be communicated to selected candidates via email only.
2. The position is purel temporary. The initial appointment is for six months, with extensions granted based on performance reviews. The maximum tenure is coterminous with the project duration, concluding in January 2028.
3. The selected candidate will be required to register for Ph.D. research at Anna University, Chennai, as per the prevailing university norms.
4. Only hard copies of the completed application, accompanied by all necessary enclosures (certificates/supporting documents), will be considered.
5. Candidates must produce original certificates/documents at the time of the interview to support all claims regarding educational qualifications and professional experience.
6. The selection process will be conducted strictly in accordance with Anna University guidelines.
7. Travel Expenses : No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided for attending the interview.
