Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work on the following post(s) on a contract basis in a research project funded by an external agency at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, as per the details below.

Post : Project Associate II (1 nos)

Project title : "Neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by Surgery versus Surgery followed by adjuvant chemotherapy for resectable Gastric adenocarcinoma- Phase 3-Multicentre Randomized Controlled Trial" (NAGA Study)

Nature of work/responsibilities and expectations
Patients recruited in the project will need to be followed up, coordination regarding their treatment, data collection, data entry, coordination with other centers involved in the project, and checking of data entries.

Eligibility criteria (Qualifications and experience) A. Essential :
Master's degree in Clinical Research/Allied Health-sciences/Biotechnology or equivalent with at least 60% aggregate marks or a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent, with 2 years experience in managing clinical research projects OR Ph.D. in Clinical Research/Allied Health Sciences biotechnology or equivalent.

Desirable :
• Clinical Research experience gained in the field of Oncology subject recruitment in trials
• GCP Training
• Skills in handling Microsoft office emails, web conferencing & other internet band tools.
• Redcap database management

EVALUATION CRITERIA :
a. Written test (areas which will be covered) specify approx. syllabus
Basic knowledge of cancer, knowledge about clinical research, GCP, patient care-related skills, consenting process, drug storage
b. Interview: As above, ability to interact and respond to situations in clinical research and patient management.

Terms and Conditions
1. Validity the appointment will be purely 1 year from the date of publication and renewable
accordingly.
2. Qualification and experience should in relevant discipline/field and from an institute of
reputation. Experience should have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
3. Upper age relaxation for SC/ ST up to 5 years and OBC and women up to 3 years.
4. The posts are purely on temporary/contractual basis for the specified period of time and
based on project no calim for ny other regular post in JIPMER shall be entertained.
5. Application form dully filled and signed along with a photocopy of all relevant certificates
including experience along with one set of self-attested copies shloud be submitted in the ofiice on the day of Walk in- interview.
6. Decision of the principal investigator will be final.
7. No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
8. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
9. Submission of wrong or false information during the process of selection shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
10. If the performance of the appointee is not found satisfactory by the investigator, the appointment can be terminated at any time without any notice.
11. The appointment may be relived from the current job position, with month prior notice, failing to do so may be held responsible for paying one month's salary.
