PCIM&H invites applications for post of Director

Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), is a subordinate office under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.Development of Pharmacopoeias and Formularies as well as acting as Central Drug Testing cum Appellate Laboratory for Indian systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy are the key fields of activity of PCIM&H.

Post : Joint Director

Applications are invited in the given proforma for the post of Joint Director, Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) Ghaziabad (General Central Service, Group ’A’, Gazetted Non- Ministerial) in Pay Matrix Rs. 1,23,100-2,15,900/-, Level-13 for Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H) Ghaziabad by deputation including short term contract Eligibility.

For Deputation (Including Short Term Contract) :
Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or Statutory Organizations or Autonomous Bodies or Public Sector Undertakings or Recognized Universities or Recognized Research Institutions:-
(a) (i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) With 5 years regular service in posts in the pay Level-12 in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications & experience:- Essential: i) Master degree in Chemistry / Botany / Pharmaceutical Sciences from a recognized University/ Institute; OR
M.D. (Ayurveda ) in Rasashastra or Bhaishajya Kalpana or Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana or Dravyaguna or M.D. (Unani) in lim-ul-Advia or Takliswa Dawa Sazi or M.D. (Siddha ) in Gundapadam or M.D. (Homoeopathy) in Pharmacy from a recognized university under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act., 1970 (48 of 1970)/ under the Homeopathy Central Council Act., 1973 (59 of 1973) and Enrolment on the Central / State Register of Indian Homeopathy Medicine with publications of papers on Quality Control and Standardization of Ayurveda / Siddha / Unani / Homoeopathic drugs in reputed journals or chapters in books
II) Doctorate degree in relevant subject mentioned under educational qualification (I)
III) 15 years experience after essential qualification, in drug manufacturing or analysis or research or teaching or pharmacopoeial work or quality control and pharmacopoeial standardization of Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic drugs.

Desirable :
a) Administrative or Technical experience in a supervisory level at any Department or recognized scientific institution or laboratory or GMP compliant Ayurveda or Siddha or Unani or Homoeopathic drug Industry.
b) Experience of guiding / directing research in the field of specialization.
c) Published research work in reputed journals or chapters in books or record of patent granted or filed.

Note : Period of deputation (ISTC) including period of deputation (ISTC) in another excadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization / department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed five years. The maximum age-limit for appointment by Deputation (ISTC) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing datjx.of receipt of applications.
The pay and other terms and conditions of the official selected will be governed by the provisions laid down in Govt, of India.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Overall administration and monitoring.
2. Government Analyst for ASU&H drugs
3. Supervise out sourced Pharmacopoeial projects
4. Supervise Pharmacopoeial work progress
5. Appellate Authority for RTI appeals
6. Transmission of inputs/reports/ATRs to Ministry
7. Human Resource Management.

Applications must be forwarded alongwith (i) Attested copies (on each page) of APARs for the last five years (ii) Cadre Clearance (CC), Integrity Certificate (IC), Vigilance Clearance (VC) and details of Major/Minor penalty (MMP) imposed during last ten years and details of Court Cases, if any, in original, duly signed & stamped by Competent Authority through proper channel so as to reach the undersigned within 60 days from the date of publication of this Advt. in the 'Employment News'.

Applications received after the due date or without the required documents or otherwise found incomplete will not be considered.
