The National Institute of Biologicals, an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, is a premier Scientific Organization and a Centre of Excellence to ensure quality of vaccines and biologicals in the country.

Post : Consultant

Essential Qualification:
Graduation in Science (Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Biotechnology or Pharmacy) from a recognized university with Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Masters in Management Studies (MMS) or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

Experience :
At least 20 years experience in the areas of :
(a) Management of a Blood Bank / Blood Banks in Government or Private Sector or
(b) enforcement and regulation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules thereunder in the Government; or
(c) Pharmaceutical / Biopharmaceutical / Management teaching institution preferably as head of the institution.

 

Maximum Age : 65 years as on 01/01/2017.

Fixed Remuneration: Rs.1,00,000 /- p.m + Conveyance Allowance of Rs.7,000 /- p.m.

Period of engagements: The initial term of engagement of Contract will be for not more than one year and subsequent extension if any, can be considered subject to fulfilment of performance evaluation.

Job requirements:
1. To assist Director NIB in coordinating the activities of Haemovigilance Programme of India and related management issues.
2. To identify training needs & organizing Workshops/ CMEs all across the country and meetings under Haemovigilance Programme of India to create awareness about the programme amongst various stakeholders i.e. Healthcare Professionals, Regulators, and NGO/ Civil Society .
3. To develop training policy, training modules and training curriculum related to different training programme conducted by NIB on Haemovigilance Programme of India.
4. To prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Guidance Document & Manuals to be used under Haemovigilance Programme of India.
5. To install and manage Toll free Number for Haemovigilance Programme of India at NIB.
6. To install and manage SMS Sewa for various stakeholders of Haemovigilance Programme of India.
7. Identify the possible areas of collaboration between National Institute of Biologicals and Indian Medical Association, National Health Mission, National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), Quality Council of India, NGO’s, Blood Donor Organisations etc. so as to create awareness about Haemovigilance Programme of India among various stakeholders & for strengthening blood services in India.
8. Identify the possible areas of having MoUs between National Institute of Biologicals & recognised Universities within India & abroad for dissertation projects/ Ph.D thesis work in Haemovigilance Programme of India at NIB.
9. To advise on establishing National/ International Linkages with institutions/ bodies and professionals working in the areas of Haemovigilance and identifying overseas experts to be invited for consultations.
10. To project and prepare Annual Budgetary requirements of the Haemovigilance Programme of India.
11. Any other duty assigned by Director, NIB from time to time.

General Instruction:
1. The Competent Authority reserves the right to accept or reject the applications without assigning any reason.
2. The contract appointment is on purely temporary basis and can be terminated by giving one-month notice on either side at any time without assigning any reason.
3. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview. It is not obligatory on the part of Institute to call for interview every candidate who possesses the essential qualification.
