    ABSTRACT:
    Snakebite is an injury caused by a bite from a snake. It can be dangerous and life threatening if the snake will venomous. India is the top country having the highest no. of death due to snake bite. Some specific venomous snake is responsible for this death. Till now people are not serious about that. Most of the people don’t know just the first aid of snake bite. After a snake bite most village people are going to unqualified person and quacks for treatment not to hospital, this is one of the most serious causes of death. People should be aware about the sign and symptoms of snake bite and at least the first aid treatment of snakebite. In this type of emergency victim should be admit to nearest hospital and Anti Snake Venom (ASV) is very much necessary to save the patient life.

  • Walk in interview for Senior Project Fellow in CSIR-CMERI

    CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, established in 1958, is the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering and allied disciplines under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), which is an Autonomous Body under the Government of India. The Institute has started a two year Post Graduate Research Programme in Engineering under the auspices of AcSIR. The Institute is also offering two year Post-Graduate degree in Mechatronics in collaboration with Bengal Engineering and Science University, Sibpur and other CSIR Institutes. The present priority areas of research of the institute are: Robotics & Mechatronics, Microsystem Technology, Rapid Prototyping & Modeling, Clean Energy, Farm Machineries, Residual Life Enhancement, Advanced Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, Simulation & Modeling and Chemistry & Biomimetics.

    A Walk-in-interview will be conducted in the Committee Room of CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur at the above address during 13th August, 2014 to select candidates for engagement as Senior Project Fellow under various projects.     Bengal Chemical & Pharmaceutical Works Ltd.(BCPW) is precursor of the present Company, Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (BCPL). Acharya P C Ray took a rented house at 91 Upper Circular Road, Calcutta and started business with a meager capital of Rs 700.00. Since inception of the Company he was very much quality conscious and produced various products of British Pharmacopoeia standard. Eminent Doctors with nationalistic feeling like Dr R G Kar, Dr N R Sarkar, Dr S P Sarbadhikari, Dr Amulya Charan Bose, etc. came forward and patronized the products.
