Post : Junior Research Assistant - 01 post
A walk-in interview shall be conducted for the resident of Uttar Pradesh for the post of Junior Research Assistant (JRA) for research project entitled “Targeting Nrf2-ARE stress response mechanism to suppress ferroptosis and mitochondrial dysfunction in BPA-induced nephrotoxicity: Attenuation by berberine” (Project ID 3929) vide Sanction letter no. CST/D-897; dated 14.08.2024) sponsored by Council of Science and Technology, U.P. Lucknow. The position is purely temporary with a consolidated stipend of INR 25,000/- per month for 6 months (likely to be extended till 9 months) (without any benefits of HRA, CCA, PF, LTC, medical claim etc.) and will be governed by the funding agency CST U.P. guidelines & service conditions of NIPER- Raebareli.
Essential qualifications : The candidates should possess M.Sc. (Life sciences)/Chemistry/Toxicology, M.S. (Pharm.) or M. Pharm. in Pharmacology or Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmaceutics/Medicinal Chemistry/Biotechnology PG degree in other relevant branch of life sciences. High academic achievement with 1st class graduate and post-graduate examination with fulfillment of basic qualification.
Desirable skills : Preference may be for the candidates with exposure to cell-culture/biochemical assays/molecular biology or other relevant experimental skills.
Age limit : Maximum 28 years as on 1st April 2026 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
Tenure of Appointment : 6 months (likely to be extended till 9 months). The performance of the recruited JRA will be evaluated at the end of one year from the start of the project; and will be extended for another one more year based on satisfactory performance.
Notes
1. The candidate must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
2. Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate will be called for an interview. The candidate will be shortlisted based on merit and need of the project.
3. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by email about the interview schedule within 2 weeks of the last date of the application.
4. Shortlisted candidates must be present physically for the interview along with original certificates.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
6. Since the position is purely temporary, no claim for regular appointment/continuation of services in any other project will be entertained.
