Bareilly Cantonment Board is an autonomous organization under the Government of India, Ministry of Defence, which undertakes mandatory and discretionary functions such as education, public health, sanitation, roads, street lights, water supply and birth and death registration under the provisions of the Cantonment Act, 2006. The board has been divided into seven wards for the purpose of administration and civil representation. Cantonment Board Bareilly was established in the year 1811.

Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), is a subordinate office under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.Development of Pharmacopoeias and Formularies as well as acting as Central Drug Testing cum Appellate Laboratory for Indian systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy are the key fields of activity of PCIM&H.
