Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from eligible Indian Nationals for the following positions in ANRF funded project “Conferring broad-spectrum pathogen resistance in tomato by manipulating miR159 biogenesis and expression of its targets”
Selection will be carried out through application screening, followed by an interview process.

Eligibility criteria
Candidates having M.Sc. / M. Tech / M. Pharm. / M.V.Sc. or equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects (Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Virology / Microbiology, etc.) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (relaxation will be given as per GOI guideline) with 4 years of experience in research work are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to national-level entrance test (NET/GATE/GPAT) qualified candidates. For non-NET/GATE candidates, the fellowship would be applicable as per DST guidelines. OR PhD in science and allied subjects are eligible to apply.
Desirable : Candidates with knowledge of Plant Molecular Biology and hands-on experience in virus inoculation, plant tissue culture techniques, genome editing, NGS data analysis, and in programming using R-studio and Python, will be preferred
Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules. Any other terms and conditions governed as per guidelines issued by the funding agency for the engagement of above positions as amended from time to time shall be in the force towards this temporary recruitment.
All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
