Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre, Varanasi, has been jointly set-up by the Tata Trusts, the Tata Memorial Centre and Banaras Hindu University. Spread over an area of 5.86 lakh sq. feet, with equipment sourced from global leaders in cancer care, the hospital provides comprehensive yet affordable cancer care to patients in Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttarakhand and, even, neighbouring countries like Nepal.

National Vrkshayuuveda Research Institute (NVARI) Jhansi established in the year 1973, renamed as Central Ayurveda Research Institute in Dec 2020, is engaged in the research with the focus mandate, i. conduct medicio-botanical exploration in parts of Central India ii. Collect and supply genuine raw drug materials for R&D work iii. To build up repositories for medicinal plants and crude drugs iv. To established herbal garden and carrying out cultivation of medicinal plants for Ayurveda.

The CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) is amongst one of the constituent research institutes of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi. Originally set up as the National Botanic Gardens (NBG) by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), it was taken over by the CSIR in 1953.

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. Its basic function is to update regularly the standards of drugs commonly required for treatment of diseases prevailing in this region. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP).
