Walk in interview for M.Pharm at CUPB

The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) was established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). The University is now accredited with 'A' grade from NAAC. It is credited with highest per capita research funding. The university has a mission of providing wide range of instructional and research facilities across integrated and cross-disciplines, promote innovation in teaching, learning and research, and cross-pollinate new ideas, new technologies and new world-views. It aims to create an ignited workforce responsive to regional, national and global needs in tune with the requirements of academia, industry and business. The university started in a three-room Camp Office provided by the state administration in March 2009. Making a modest but speedy start, the university accepted on rent, a dilapidated campus of 37 acres of an abandoned co-operative spinning mill on Mansa Road, Bathinda.

Abstract:
Recent years have been witnessedfor exhaustive genome sequencing, nourishing a cause to track the mutation and its consequences at the phenotypic level. Butreliabilityof these genomic studiesis the critical issuewhich is still unaddressed and not properly understood. Moreover via TILLING techniques (reverse genetic tool), can be valuable in evaluation of these studies to much extent. Usually TILLING account on a specific gene mutation in order to observe the extent of the functionality of that particular gene at morphological level. This review compiles the literature pertaining to the art of tilling in the evaluation of genomic studies and majorly in concern of functionalgenomics. Moreover this review also covers the example of the most common species so as to buildbetter understanding of the concept behind this technique of reversegeneticsand can be fruitfully applied in extractingthe ethano-botanical and therapeuticeffect of various medicinal plants.

Abstract:
Indole alkaloids are well characterized for diverse activities. Meanwhile, the present scenarioof disease depicting a different story, urge a call for novel scaffolds and pharmacophores. In recent years, indole based alkaloids gain significant importance in cancer chemotherapy and used as an adjuvant especiallyin case of Vinca alkaloids. These reports encourage the researchers for new finding related to indole based alkaloids to retrieve better scaffold for designing and synthesis of anticancer agents. However we tried to compile the literature which cover the recent reports and updates of indole based alkaloids targeting incancer. Moreover this review paperbrings new dimension and interface between the indole based alkaloids and their valuable commitment towards cancer targeting.

Abstract
Stereochemistry of clinical agents play a key role in their success to become drugs. Tautomerism is a structural isomerism, playing a key role in the orientation of organic compounds and also found significant in distinctive base pairing in nucleic acids. Keto-enol form usually occurs and found prominently among different types of tautomers. The enol form ionizes in the physiological solution into enolate and alter the biological activity. So, how this enolate form brings modification in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of a drug is very important and quite interesting to know. As this form is ionic in nature so it increases the interaction with the concerning receptors, enzymes, ion channels or functional proteins. In this review we cover and compile success, role and the significance of the enolate form of clinical agents which succeed to become drugs!

Abstract
Activation of immune response is developed in respect to some xenobiotic sensitization, which is supposed to prevent and protect the body from sufferings induced by these xenobiotic. But unfortunately sometime body behaves in a paradoxical manner which misguides the immune system and ultimately turned into a bizarre situation of immune function. One of such response is anaphylactic shock, which is quite fatal if untreated. This review brings insights into the molecular physiology of anaphylactic shock and how some people elicit allergic response to certain substances but not the other. This major catastrophe of the body holds an error of immune system whereas this commentary based review disclosed the synchronization of the unfortunate lessons of the immune system, which makes it a cruel to cause DEATH!
