The Central University of Punjab, Bathinda (CUPB) invites Online Applications from eligible candidates for the regular posts of Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 144200/- in the Academic Pay level 14 as per 7th CPC), Associate Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 131400/- in the Academic Pay level 13A as per 7th CPC) and Assistant Professors (Entry pay of Rs. 57700/- in the Academic Pay level 10 as per 7th CPC) as per following details

Post : Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical)

Title of the Project : “Design, synthesis and biological evaluation of Indolo- quinoxaline-based 17bita-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase type 5 inhibitors for the effective management of polycystic ovary syndrome”
Funding Agency : ICMR-IIRP. New Delhi
Project Duration : 3 years

No. of Post : 1 (ONE)
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000/- per month + HRA for the first two years, 5% increment in the third year, subject to extension of the project from funding agency
Term of engagement : Initially for a period of one year, further extendable based on extension of the project, satisfactory work, conduct and availability of funds in the project head.

Essential Qualification : 1. First class post graduate degree (M.Pharm/M.S.(Pharm)/Ph.D.
2. Second class post graduate degree (M.Pharm/M.S.(Pharm) with Ph.D.

Desirable Qualification : 1. Experience in biological experiments including cell culture, enzymatic assays, ELISA, western blotting, MTT assays, animal handling, execution of animal study protocols in syngenic/xenograft models 2. Experience in in silico drug design and laboratory synthesis techniques 3. Experience in scientific manuscripts and patent drafting. 4. Good communication skills

Terms and Conditions
1. The above mentioned post(s) is/are purely temporary for limited period or duration of Research Project funded by the funding agency.
2. Applicants shall be required to show the original documents at the time of interaction cum interview and/or joining
3. No T.A/D.A. or any other allowances will be paid for attending the interaction cum interview.
4. The University reserves the right to withdraw this advertisement or increase/decrease the number of posts at any time without assigning any reason.
5. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the vacancies. The decision of Competent Authority of the university in this regard shall be final.
6. Suppression of factual information, supply of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of his /her candidature. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future even after engagement that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualification, experience etc. which could not be detected at the time of Test/Interaction cum Interview due to whatever circumstances, his/her engagement shall be liable to be terminated forthwith as per this clause and also based on his/her undertaking
