IPGME&R remained solely a superspeciality referral hospital and post graduate medical institution. New landmark sections were added over the years, such as Respiratory Care Unit, The Bangur Institute of Neuroscience, The institute of Psychiatry, Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences. A nursing school in school level and a Nursing College for UG and PG level nursing courses were set up. UG Course on Physiotherapy and Para Medical courses were inducted. Later, UG level Medcial Courses were introduced in the academic curriculum. The institute in the present century turned into Multi Superspeciality hospital with induction of advanced neo natal department, Human Milk Bank, Genomics, Neuro Medicines and School of Digestive and Liver Diseases.

Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) is an Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India. IPC is created to set standards of drugs in the country. It publishes official documents for improving Quality of Medicines by way of adding new and updating existing monographs in the form of Indian Pharmacopoeia (IP). It further promotes rational use of generic medicines by publishing National Formulary of India.

The Directorate of Advertising & Visual Publicity (DAVP) is the nodal agency to undertake multi-media advertising and publicity for various Ministries and Departments of Government of India. As a service agency, it endeavours to communicate at grass roots level on behalf of various Central Government Ministries.  The origin of DAVP can be traced to the times of World War-II. Immediately after the out-break of Second World War, the erstwhile government of India appointed a Chief Press Advisor. Besides other things, advertising was also the responsibility of the Chief Press Advisor. A post of Advertising Consultant was created in June 1941 under the Chief Press Advisor.

Prior to 1995, under the Department of Public Health and Family Welfare, medical education and healthcare was in the state. In order to promote medical education in mid-state from the view of providing health care in the state as a whole, the medical education department was established by the State Government in the year 1995. After the formation of the Medical Education Department, there has been a steady progress in all areas of medical education and continuous new medical colleges, dental colleges, nursing colleges and paramedical colleges have been established. The first medical college of 17th and State of Madhya Pradesh was established in Gwalior in the year 1946. In the year 1948, the medical college in Indore, the medical college of Bhopal and medical college Jabalpur in the year 1955, the Rewa of the medical college in year 1963 and the medical college of the sea was established in year 2009. Sagar Medical College was started in Bundelkhand area of ​​the state. Which is the first official Swassea medical college in the region. The first government dental college in the state was established in 1961 in Idrar.
