Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) is attached office of the Department of Health & Family Welfare and has subordinate offices spread all over the country. The DGHS renders technical advice on all Medical and Public Health matters and is involved in the implementation of various Health Services.

Post : Consultants

Age limit : Maximum of 65 years as on date ot application

Place of assignment : Department of Health & Family Welfare

Position -1

Eligibility : Retired Dir. or equivalent with experience of working on Government Acts, Citizen’s Charter, etc.

Duration : 2 months

Assignments:
To assist VV&PG Division in following matters
1. Study existing Citizen's Charter of this Department and other Department’s Charter which are considered good in the opinion of Department of AR&PG.
2. Collecting and studying input from different Divisions of the Ministry (in this process the staff of W&PG Section will assist him)
3. Drafting new Citizen’s Charter for this Department in terms of the existing guidelines issued by Department of AR&PG on the subject.
4. The Consultant will not be provided anv accommodation for sitting- however, the Consultant will be assisted by the W&PG Section for any kind of support like printing, etc.

Position -2

Eligibility : Retired Gr’A with expertise in SAS and must have experience of minimum 5 years in dealing with Health Statistics.

Duration : 1 year

Assignments:
To Assist in following matter of Statistics Division
1. Handling of M&E activities like SDG Data/Metadata. SDG audit, SDG Dashboard, maintenance of trend series of national, State, district level data on Health & Family Welfare from various sources, estimation of need assessment for various health and family welfare activities etc.
2. Preparation of material for the Dept. Publication “Health & FW Statistics in India etc. including Parliamentary Matters.
3. Handling of Statistical Analysis System (SAS) for generating various statistical reports and publications. Working with Tabulation / data analysis / interpretation and Health Statistics,
4. Other misc. Matters relating to Statistics Division.

Terms and Conditions for  engagement  of Consultant in W& PG Division of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
1. The Consultant shall perform the services as assigned by the controlling officer.
2. The contractual appointment is for a period of two months.
3. The consultant shall be paid a consolidated remuneration as per the formula of last pay drawn minus pension subject to TDS etc. The remuneration for the services rendered in a month shall be payable in subsequent month. No other allowances shall be permissible to him except TA/DA on official tours. TA/DA entitlement shall be the same as what was entitled to him at the time of retirement from the service.
4. Ministry of Health & Family Welfare shall have the right to examine / review the services provided by him.
5. He shall perform his obligations with all necessary skills, diligence, efficiency and economy.
6. No medical facility shall be provided to him by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The remuneration is deemed to include an element to cover the cost of medical cover, if any.
7. The Ministry shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, damages / injury suffered by him, whatsoever arising in or out of the execution of his work, including travel.
8. During the terms of service, he shall not engage in any private business of professional activity which could conflict with the interest of the Government.
9. He shall treat all official information as confidential and use the same only for the purpose of the performance of the services.
10. The service can be terminated by either side by giving one week’s notice.

Terms and Conditions for engagement of Consultant in Stats Division in of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
1. The Consultant shall perform the services as assigned by the controlling officer.
2. The normal working hours would be from 9.00 am to 5.30 p.m. with lunch break of 30 minutes from 1.00 p.m. to 1.30 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
3. The consultant shall be entitled to 8 days of Casual Leave during a period of one year of engagement to be availed with prior permission.
4. In special circumstances, the consultant could be called for services on holidays or beyond normal working hours.
5. The contractual appointment is for a maximum period of one year, extendable as per requirement, in Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.
6.
