Post : Project Research Scientist - I Non-Medical (1 position)
Applications are invited from Indian nationals only for project position(s) as per the details given below for the consultancy/research project(s) under the Principal investigator (Name: Prof Shailly Tomar), Dept./Centre Biosciences and Bioengineering Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee.
Title of project : Design and development of chimeric vaccine candidates for flavivirus infections using CHIKV- based platforms
Sponsor of the project : ICMR
Qualifications : 1st class Master’s degree in relevant subject (Life sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Virology etc.) OR 2nd class MSc in any field of life sciences AND PhD in any of relevant areas as described above.
Emoluments : Rs. 56,000 per month + 10% HRA
Duration : 12 months
Job description : Molecular biology, cloning, expression, basics of molecular virology, cDNA preparation, RT- PCR, mammalian cell culture, in vitro cell-based assays related to virus propagation and quantification, protein production and purification is add on.
1. Candidates before appearing for the interview shall ensure that they are eligible for the position they intend to apply.

of interview for verification.
4. Preference will be given to SC/ST candidates on equal qualifications and experience.
5. Please note that no TA/DA is admissible for attending the interview.

The interview will be held at Biosciences and Bioengineering department committee room on 29th June, 2026 at 11 AM. (to be given only for walk in interview)
