Gujarat Ayurved University was established in 1967 by an act passed by Gujarat State legislative Assembly in 1965. It is the first statutory University of its Kind both at national and international level - exclusively devoted to Ayurvedic studies and Research. This University is administratively linked to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare both at State and Centre-indicating its special status.

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. Apart from the various approaches of treatment, cancer chemotherapy is one of the major therapeutic approaches to combat cancer. However, improvements in the survival rate have been only modest mainly due to presence of Cancer Stem Cells. Today, there is a significant clinical need for novel methods of detection and treatment for cancer stem cells that offers improved sensitivity, specificity and cost-effectiveness.

The grape growers of India were among the first to form a cohesive non-political, non-racial and non-religious group for sharing the knowledge and for garnering technical and administrative support for the grape industry in all facets of grape production, processing and marketing. Owing to several problems faced by grape growers with respect to grape production and to get their problems solved, the group approached the Indian Council of Agricultural Research to establish a dedicated research unit for working on grapes. Thus after due deliberation on the research needs of grape growers and the grape industry and also to address the future challenges and opportunities, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research approved the establishment of National Research Centre for Grapes vide sanction letter No.1 (2)/92-PI&M (Part-III) dated 16 September, 1993.

The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), New Delhi, an autonomous body of Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India intends to engage the following categories of personnel. The persons selected will be liable for posting in its peripherals Institutes/Units located through out the country. The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Council is an apex body in India for formulation, development and promotion of research in Ayurvedic system of medicine. The Council carries out its activities and functions through its network of 31 Institutions located all over India.

It is proposed to engage the services of Senior Research Fellow (Pharmaceutics) initially for a period of six months extendable upto three year on a consolidated payment mentioned against the post.
