Applications are invited for the position of Project Linked Person for extramural projects to be executed by the National institute of Biomedical Genomics, Kalyani. Selected applicant will be appointed for a period of 12 months.
Project description: The goal of this project is to develop a method for rapid detection of sepsis and anti-microbial resistance in high-risk children
This is a contractual position. Appointment will be initially given for a period of one year which is extendable depending upon performance, availability of funds and requirements of the institute.

Essential Educational Qualification : Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science with NET qualification. AND Experience in working in a molecular biology, biochemistry or microbiology laboratory AND Experience in handling clinical sample
Desirable Qualification : Research experience in the field of sepsis
Nature of Duty : Handling clinical biospecimens; standardization of molecular assays for detection of pathogens and anti-microbial resistance; analysis of clinical and laboratory data
Consolidated and fixed monthly emolument : Rs. 28000/- + 10% HRA
