The ICMR has always attempted to address itself to the growing demands of scientific advances in biomedical research on the one hand, and to the need of finding practical solutions to the health problems of the country, on the other. The ICMR has come a long way from the days when it was known as the IRFA, but the Council is conscious of the fact that it still has miles to go in pursuit of scientific achievements as well as health targets.

The following posts are to be filled up on purely temporary basis under the collaborative project entitled “Strategy to study screening of anti-CMV (Cytomegalovirus) compounds from some medicinal and edible mushrooms” funded by Department of Science and Technology (DST), West Bengal. under Dr. Nilanjan Chakraborty, Scientist- E, PI of this Institute & Dr Swapan Kr Ghosh, Associate Professor Co-P,I(RKMVC College, Rahara).

The following vacancies shall be filled purely on temporary basis renewable annually under Non-Institutional ad-hoc projects to be filled in through Walk-in Interview as indicated below: -

Post : Research Associate

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body under the Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. The Council is an apex body in India for formulation, development and promotion of research in Ayurvedic system of medicine. The Council carries out its activities and functions through its network of 31 Institutions located all over India.

The Central Research Councils function under Ministry of AYUSH, Govt, of India to promote and coordinate research activities in the respective systems of medicine, as indicated below:

Applications are invited through Walk-in-Interview on 6th June 2017 between 09:00 hrs. to 11:00 hrs. for the following vacancies under Non-Institutional ad-hoc project entitled “Genome-wide mapping of androgen and estrogen receptor binding sites in adult rat seminiferous epithelium ”.

Post: Sr. Research Fellow (SRF)

Applications are invited on plain paper for two purely temporary contractual posts of Scientist ‘B’ (Non medical) in the Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR) Unit, Division of Publication & Information, ICMR, for a period of one year.

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for filling up of the following post on contract basis for ICMR funded project entitled “Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers to differentiate between Parkinson’s disease, multiple system atrophy-parkinsonism and progressive supranuclear palsy- parkinsonism” under Dr. Ravi Yadav, Additional Professor of Neurology and Principal Investigator.

Sajeli Begum, Department of Pharmacy, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus, Hyderabad and Dr. Swati Alok, Department of Economics and Finance, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus, Hyderabad.

Post : Senior Research Fellow (SRF)

ICMR JRF Examination is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/    Research Programme through council's support. Test for ICMR JRF fellowship are conducted at the 12 centres viz. Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Srinagar and Varanasi once a year.  The award of JRF is made on merit basis by holding an entrance examination after issuing a countrywide admission notice.  The admission notice is published in leading English Newspapers of India usually during March/April and  also on the website. The entrance examination is usually held in the first/second week of July.
