BIT, Mesra is a "Deemed University" under Sec. 3 of the U.G.C. Act 1956. It functions under the overall supervision, direction and control of a high power Board of Governors, comprising representatives of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, the U.G.C., the State Government, The Chancellor, the AICTE, The Hindustan Charity Trust and the Institute Faculty. Shri G.P. Birla is the Chairman of the Board of Governors. The Governor of the state of Jharkhand is the Chancellor of the Institute. The Technical Council decides the academic policy of the Institute.

The applications are invited for the following posts purely on temporary and contractual basis for the project entitled, “Standing National Committee on Medicines (SNCM)” in Secretariat at Division of Basic Medical Sciences (BMS), ICMR Headquarters office New Delhi, initially for one year and extendable till 3 years.  The interested candidates may send completely filled and signed Application form in the given format only as in Annexure-1 (given below) along with one set of photocopy of self-attested documents viz. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.  The ICMR has always attempted to address itself to the growing demands of scientific advances in biomedical research on the one hand, and to the need of finding practical solutions to the health problems of the country, on the other. The ICMR has come a long way from the days when it was known as the IRFA, but the Council is conscious of the fact that it still has miles to go in pursuit of scientific achievements as well as health targets.

Applications are invited on plain paper for one purely temporary post of Research Associate (RA)-I on contractual basis in the Indian Journal of Medical Research (IJMR) Unit.

Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
