Central Drugs Testing Laboratory provides chemical testing of various drugs such as isoniazid, thiamine mononitrate, amoxicillin, rifampicin and chloramphenicol. It checks for the description, identification, and loss on drying in these pharmaceutical compounds. The laboratory is also well equipped for the mechanical testing of rubber latex condoms and related products for their various properties such as dimension, burst pressure, package integrity and water leakage.The tests are conducted with highly reliable instruments and equipment.

The Directorate of Forensic Science Services (DFSS) is a nodal organization of Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India to propagate and carry out best forensic science practices in the country to serve the cause of criminal justice delivery system. DFSS has been established in the year 2002 on bifurcation from the BPR&D, New Delhi.
