WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for appointment of Manpower for the project entitled “Determinants Of Excess Alpha Globin Chain- As A Central Modifier Of Phenotypes In Beta Thalassaemia” (BT/PR26345/MED/12/799/2017) funded by DBT, Govt, of India [ San No. 102/IFD/SAN/l 292/2019-20 DATED August, 92019].

The remarkable march of India into the world of biosciences and technological advances began in 1986. That year, the then Prime Minister of the country, late Rajiv Gandhi accepted the vision that unless India created a separate Department for Biotechnology, within the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India the country would not progress to the desired extent. This was because many of our macro-economic issues of growth were subsumed within that science’s development.

Applications are solicited from Indian Nationals working in overseas research institutions for the “Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship”, a Re-entry scheme of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India.

Banaras Hindu University ranks among the first few in the country in the field of academic and research output. National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI) is an autonomous Institute under Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value-added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. Since its inception in 2010, NABI is involved in research activities for the Biofortification, development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions towards quality food and nutrition, and development of evidence based functional foods to counter malnutrition.

Food and nutritional Biotechnology division at NABI requires following research personnel purely on temporary basis.
