District Health Society announces Pharmacists Openings

In light of the advertisement published for the contractual appointment of paramedical staff under the National Health Mission, the selection process and terms are as follows:  With the objective of ensuring better health facilities in the district, applications are invited for appointment to various posts on a contractual basis under the National Health Mission (NHM) against designated positions within the District Health Society, Giridih.

Post : Pharmacist

DISTRICT PHARMACIST 
No of post : 01 
Qualification : Degree/ Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized university 
Preferential Qualification : • One Year experience in managing drug store in a reputed hospital/ health center recognized by Govt. 
• Candidate should be well conversant with various computer programming including MS, Word, Excel & simple statistical packages. 
Salary : 15,000/- 

PHARMACIST (RBSK)
No of posts : 04
Qualification : Essential Qualification
• Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institute. Should have Registered under Jharkhand state Pharmacy Council.
• Computer Proficiency (MS Office) & Internet.
Salary : Rs. 11,550/- 

Age limit for selection:-
Maximum age limit for selection: Age calculation is to be done in light of the Resolution Memo No. 10/Ni-07-04/2015-Ka 03/Ranchi, dated 02.01.2026, issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Official Language, Jharkhand.
Age will be calculated as of the date of publication of the advertisement.

Selection Process
1. Eligible and qualified candidates must ensure that their applications—submitted in the prescribed format and fully filled out—are sent via Registered Post or Speed Post to the Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Executive Officer, Giridih. The application must be accompanied by self-attested copies of necessary certificates, including a caste certificate (issued by a competent authority for reservation claims), a matriculation certificate (as proof of date of birth), a local residence certificate, and other required documents.
2. It is mandatory to attach self-attested photocopies of all certificates regarding educational qualifications, residence, caste, date of birth, experience, and a valid driving license, etc. Additionally, a Demand Draft, two passport-sized color photographs (one affixed to the application), and a self-addressed envelope (measuring 24x10 cm) must be enclosed.
3. Application Fee - Applicants belonging to the General Category, Other Backward Classes (OBC), or Backward Classes must attach a Demand Draft of ₹400/- per post applied for. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC) or Scheduled Tribes (ST) must attach a Demand Draft of ₹200/- per post. The Demand Draft must be payable to the "District Rural Health Society, Giridih."
4. Candidates will be selected based on marks obtained in academic and technical examinations, a written test, a skill test, and/or an interview—whichever is applicable.
5. Applicants currently working under any public health program are required to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and a Work Satisfaction Certificate issued by the head of their office.
6. All candidates must ensure that their applications are sent exclusively via Registered Post or Speed Post.
7. Preference will be given to local candidates during the recruitment process.
8. The finalized merit list will be displayed at the office of the Civil Surgeon/Deputy Commissioner for a period of one week. A notification regarding the publication of the list on the notice board will be issued through newspapers.
9. Details from the received applications, mark sheets, and certificates will be entered into the computer system and uploaded to the website; objections regarding these entries will be invited through newspaper advertisements.
10. All information regarding the recruitment process will be communicated through daily newspapers and the website giridih.nic.in.

Conditions of Selection
1. Personnel will not be recruited as regular employees on a contract basis; instead, they will be engaged to perform duties in exchange for an approved honorarium.
2. The district-level reservation roster will apply to all the aforementioned posts.
3. The contract will be valid for a period of one year. Depending on requirements, the contract period may be extended on a year-to-year basis, subject to the Annual Performance Appraisal.
4. The contract of engaged individuals may be terminated by providing one month's notice or one month's honorarium in lieu thereof.
5. Candidates submitting CGPA scorecards for educational qualifications must also submit the CGPA conversion chart along with their mark sheets.
6. Applicants wishing to apply for more than one post must submit separate applications for each.
7. Candidates shortlisted by the committee based on the advertised qualifications and eligibility criteria will be included in the subsequent stages of the selection process.
8. The decision of the committee regarding the recruitment process shall be final and binding.
9. The committee reserves the right to amend the terms of the advertisement as required. 
10. No personal correspondence or contact regarding the appointment will be entertained.
11. Applicants must clearly mention the Post Code Number on their application form and the envelope containing the application.
12. If, at any stage of the selection process, any information or document provided by a candidate is found to be incorrect, their candidature/appointment may be cancelled with immediate effect, and legal action may be initiated against them.
