Merck Limited (formerly E. Merck Limited) was set up in India as the first Merck subsidiary in Asia in 1967.  The Company operates both its Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals businesses in the country. Merck was also the first Merck Group Company to go public in the year 1981.  The Merck Group now holds 51% of the share capital in Merck Limited, while the remaining 49% is traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. and National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.  Merck Specialities Pvt. Ltd., the wholly owned Indian subsidiary of Merck KGaA, was incorporated in 2005.

NMIMS has expanded its base to south India and started their first operations at Bengaluru in 2008. Now it further expanded its base and started operations in Hyderabad in 2010.  The corporate landscape in India is dotted with great companies both global and Indian MNCs and there are lakhs of middle to senior managers within Hyderabad alone having over thirty thousand upwardly mobile, technology savvy midlevel managers. Large numbers of mid management executives have reached an impasse in their career in terms of growth prospects and feel the need to acquire the appropriate blend of business acumen and general management capabilities to accelerate their career growth. The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) is a University under section 2(f) of the University Grant Commission (U.G.C.) Act, 1956 set up under the Swami Vivekanand Subharti Vishwavidhaylaya, Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam, 2008 (U.P.
