The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.
Post : Research Associate –III (Pediatrics)
Applications are invited for the Post of Research Associate in ICMR funded project entitled “A study of long term outcome incidence and determinants of obstetrics nearmiss in a tertiary care hospital of North India”.
Essential Qualification : Ph.D/M.D. Pediatrics/MS/MDS on equivalent degree; OR having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Sc/ M.Pharma / ME/ M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCT) journal.
Desirable experience : Experience in participating one or more research studies involving neonates
Duration : Throughout the project duration (Likely till 2021)
Salary : As per ICMR norms, Rs. 48,000/- including HRA. No other Allowance will be paid
