Applications are invited for Pharmacist at Kasturba Hospital

As per the approval number MGC / F / 6962 dated 26.06.2025 of the Hon'ble Municipal Commissioner, the following various posts are to be filled up for Kasturba Hospital on purely contractual basis. Applications are invited from the candidates possessing the required educational qualification/qualification as mentioned in the advertisement presented on the website of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation portal.mcgm.gov.in for the said posts.

Salary : Rs. 20,000

Qualification : 1. The candidate must have a Diploma in Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education or a Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University.
2. The candidate should be registered with the Maharashtra State Pharmacy Council.
3. The candidate must have passed the Trade Test conducted by the Municipal Corporation.
Contract period - Dated 01.10.2025 to 31.03.2027 (1 day technical break every 179 days on contractual basis)

Important Notes :  
1. The candidate should have passed the Secondary and Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent examination of a recognized board and should have passed with 100 marks in Marathi and 100 marks in English. Also, it is necessary to be able to read and write Marathi, Hindi and English languages.
2. The candidate should be a holder of 'CCC' or 'O' level or 'A' level 'B' level or 'C' level certificate of 'DOE AC C' Society or 'MSCIT' or 'G.E.C.T' certificate of Maharashtra Board of Higher and Technical Education or to be exempted from submitting the said certificate, the candidate should have completed a course approved by the Government from time to time on computer handling/use.
3. It is necessary to be able to handle the HMIS system implemented by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
4. Preference will be given to those with work experience.
5. The candidate should be able to converse easily and hear clearly in Marathi, Hindi and English.
6. At the time of appointment, a bond of Rs. 500/- will be taken from the candidate.
7. Candidates will do biometrics daily as per their duty hours, otherwise they will be considered absent, they will be made absent without permission (LWP).
8. If it is found that the candidate has violated discipline during the appointment period of the said contractual post holder, his appointment will be cancelled immediately.
9. If the selected candidate wants to resign from the post for any reason, he will be required to give 1 month's prior notice.
10. The appointed candidate will not be entitled to any right for permanent service in the Municipal Corporation and he will not be allowed any benefits of regular service.
11. The candidate will have to appear for the interview at his own expense.
12. If it is found that the candidate has submitted incorrect candidature information/certificates/documents or has concealed any information at any time after the selection process starts or after the appointment, it will be cancelled.  Also, if an appointment has been made, his appointment will be terminated without giving any prior notice.
13. The Hon. Chief Medical Superintendent and Head of Account (M.A.S.) and Special Hospital (P.) have the right to stop the selection process at any time at any stage for administrative or other reasons.


Special Instructions : 
1. Applications will not be accepted without paying the prescribed application fee and attaching its receipt.
2. Please note that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has not given any right to sell, accept applications, etc. to any person or other organization.
3. Applications received by post will not be considered.

Age Limit : The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and more than 38 years.

Selection Criteria and Procedure
1. A merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the prescribed educational qualification of the post and the marks obtained in the interview. A selection list will be prepared from the candidates in the merit list.
2. The place, date and time of the interview will be communicated in advance to the mobile number mentioned by the applicant in the application.

4. Application fee - Rs. 790 + 18% GST. The fee is non-refundable and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

General Requirements
1. The candidate's mobile number, e-mail ID and correspondence address (including pin code) should be clear and complete. If it is not clear, the office will not be responsible if it cannot be contacted.
2. Apart from the lump sum, any kind of dearness allowance, house rent allowance, etc. will not be admissible to the contractual employees.
3. Female candidates should submit marriage registration certificate, gazette notification of change of name. Also, if they are not available, married female candidates can apply under their pre-marital name.
4. If the candidate has been convicted by any court for moral turpitude or criminal case, and if there is a police investigation/court case pending against the candidate/if a conviction has been made, the candidate must inform about it.
5. During the period of their contractual service, one day's service break will be given after every 179 days.
6. The candidate will be entitled to weekly leave as per the sessions of the department assigned to him/her as per Circular No. Director/V.S.P.R./ 3644 dated 14.10.2023, a total of 7% days of casual leave will be admissible for 6 months in equal proportion, apart from that, no other leave will be admissible.
7. Candidates will be required to serve in emergency situations in addition to the work assigned by the hospital administration.
8. Contract employees will have to follow the guidelines and procedures of the relevant department while performing their duties in the hospital and will have to take medico legal responsibility.
9. If their work is not found satisfactory during the contract period, the Hon. Chief Medical Superintendent and Head of Account (M.A.S.) and Special Hospital (P.) will have the right to terminate it without giving any prior notice.
10. Since the appointment of the candidate is on a contractual basis, they will not be able to approach any court.
