Openings for Pharmacists (06 posts) under National AYUSH Mission

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates who are residents of Union Territory of Puducherry for filling up of following posts on (contractual) through merit basis for a period of Eleven months from the date of engagement in the Directorate of AYUSH, Puducherry. The details of educational qualifications, age limit, selection and application are mentioned below.

Post : Pharmacist

Ayurveda 2 Siddha - 2 Homoeopathy - 2
Age : Below 35 Years
Remuneration per month : Rs. 12,000/-

Qualification & Experience :
(i) H.Sc with Diploma in Pharmacy (Siddha / Ayurveda, / Homoeopathy) from recognized Institute.
(ii) Two years working experience in the institution in dispensing Ayush medicines.

Mode of Recruitment :
(i) The Post of Pharmacist (Ayurveda / Siddha / Homoeopathy) will be engaged based on the 45% of the marks obtained in the H.Sc examination or its equivalent and 45% of the marks obtained in Diploma in Pharmacy.
(ii) 10% weightage on employment Seniority (Maximum 10 marks).
(iii) A deduction of 0.5 mark shall be made for every additional attempt including each improvement.

Nativity / Residence
Those who are natives of Union Territory of Puducherry by continuous residence m the U T for the last 5 years immediately preceding the date of notification only are eligible to apply for the post. The applicants on selection should furnish the fresh Nativity/Residence certificate issued by an Officer of the Department of Revenue mid Disaster Management not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar. The certificate should have been issued within one year from the closing date for receipt of application.
Those who are applied for Medical Officer, Staff Nurse and Pharmacist should have submitted the Community Certificate in the prescribed form issued by an Officer of the department of Revenue and Disaster Management not below the rank of Deputy Tahsildar _ The certificate should have been issued within one year from the closing date for receipt of application.

Age Limit :
1 The age limit will be reckoned as on 20.06.2025 which is the last date of apply.
2. Date of Birth as recorded in the SSLC / Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted for determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be considered or granted.

Other Conditions :
1 The period of contractual engagement will be initially for a period of 11 months and further extension of contract will be considered subject to requirement of se™ccs
a intermediant break of one day between further extension of contract period with t guidelines / instructions / OMs issued from time to time by the Government of India.
2 The persons engaged on contract basis have no right to claim for permanent or regular employment in this Administration as this is purely a temporary contractual engagement for a specific tenure period and will remain valid up to which the engagement is approved on each occasion.
3 One mark shall be awarded to all the candidates applying for the post for every completed year of seniority from the date of registration of the required technical qualification in the employment exchange in the last date for receipt of duly filled in application subject to a maximum of 10 marks.
4. The persons engaged on contract basis will not be eligible to get °^iai accommodation/ quarter’s allotment within the campus as applicable to the oth regular employees of this Institute.
5. Canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification.
6. The persons engaged on contract basis will have to work at Pondicherry and Yanam in the U.T. of Puducherry.
7. The persons engaged on contract basis are expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the Institute employees.
8 The persons engaged on contract basis should not have been convicted by any Court of Law and shall not have any adverse character or antecedents.
9. The persons engaged on contract basis shall go field inspection/investigation on all regions of Union Territory of Puducherry.
10. In case any information given or declaration by the candidate is found to be false or if the candidate has wilfully suppressed any material information relevant to his appointment, he/she will be liable to be removed from the contractual engagement and any action taken as deemed fit by the appointing authority.

11. The decision of the competent authority regarding selection of candidates will be final and no representation will be entertained in this regard.
12. Applications incomplete in any aspect will be summarily rejected.
13. The Competent Authority reserves the right to make any changes in the recruitment process with regard to number of vacancies, age, qualification, experience and other conditions of eligibility/selection process etc.
14. The Competent Authority also reserves the right of any amendment, cancellation and changes to this advertisement as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
15. The claims of the candidates with regard to the date of birth, educational/technical qualifications and community are accepted only on the information furnished by them
in their application without physical verification of their claims. Their candidature therefore will be provisional at all stages and this Department reserves the right to reject any candidature at any stage, even after the selection has been made.
16. Candidates from other States / Union Territories are not eligible to apply for the post.
17. Change of address, if any, after submission of application should be intimated to the Department or otherwise the Department is not responsible for any postal delay/non delivery of letters etc.
18. The waitlisted candidates shall be utilized against the requirement in the Department as and when necessity arises for the next two years.
19. Regional Transfer is not allowed.

How to Apply
a. The application should be in the prescribed format, duly signed along with self attested copy of proof of evidence for date of birth, Educational / Technical Qualification, experience. Etc.;

Instructions to the Candidates
1. Merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination subject to deduction of 0,5 mark for each additional attempt made. 1 mark shall be awarded to all the candidates applying for the post for every completed year of seniority from the date of registration of the required technical qualification in the employment exchange in the last date for receipt of duly filled in application subject to a maximum of 10 marks.

2. Applicants are advised to download the copy of the application from the website health.py.gov.in and send duly filled in application along with the self attested Photostat copies certificates as detailed below :

3. Filled in application along with required copy of certificates should reach the Director AYUSH, on or before 5 p.m. on 20.06.2025, either in person or through Registered Post duly superscribing on the cover “Application for the post of.....................” (Specify the name of the post applied for and specify the

4. The applications will be received from 9.30 am to 5 pm on all working days. Applications received after the due date will be summarily rejected. Recruitment will be based on Merit Basis. The place of posting will be in Puducherry & Yanam District. And it is strictly informed that, no transfer will be entertained from Puducherry District to Yanam District &Vice versa.

Note : A Candidate should apply either at Puducherry District or at Yanam District at a time. In case, the candidate has applied for Puducherry District and also for Yanam District for the same post the application will be rejected.
