NABI requires candidates with experience in biotechnology/ Pharmaceutical / Chemical

BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute (formerly National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute & Centre of Innovative and applied Bioprocessing) is an autonomous Institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. NABI aims at catalysing the transformation of the Agri-food sector in India by being a nodal organization for knowledge generation and translational science leading to value- added products based on Agri-Food biotech innovations for improved household nutritional security. NABI is involved in research activities for Bio-fortification, the development of designer crops for improved nutrition, providing sustainable and novel solutions for quality food and nutrition, and the development of evidence-based functional foods to counter malnutrition.

The agri-food and nutritional biotechnology and biomanufacturing division at BRIC NABI requires the following personnel purely on a temporary basis under the project entitled BRIC-NABI Biomanufacturing Center “Agri-Food Bio-Mug” for a period of two years or till the completion of project whichever is earlier. The project is on setting up an integrated pilot plant facility (up to 1000 Litre processing capacity) for bioprocessing of agricultural waste biomass (lignocellulose), microbial source, and industrial waste into biochemicals and high-value commercial products (bio- colorant, bio-pesticide, smart protein, low-calorie sweetener, enzymes, etc.). Furthermore, the biomanufacturing plant setup is a DCS/SCADA automated process system consisting of batch and/or continuous aerobic fermentation, product downstream (centrifugation, filtration, drying) and packaging operations. The process also includes the lignocellulosic biomass chemical pre-treatment and disintegration to biomass-derived biochemicals.

Job responsibilities : Overseeing the overall biomanufacturing processes; progress report submission; product development supervision; implementation of technological strategies; point of contact for product(s) development; establish the various roles within the department; create policies around technology infrastructure and develop important technology to implement in the hub; continuously educate self on technology topics; analyze data to facilitate operations; keep up to date with the latest technology trends; ensure data privacy safety; communicate technology strategies internally and externally; monitor budget expenditure.

Senior Project Manager (Business Development)

Duration of project: - 02 Years or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.

1. NABI invites online applications from only Indian Citizens for filling up project positions
2. The applications should be submitted strictly as per the prescribed format.
3. Incomplete application forms and applications that are not in proper format may be summarily rejected.
4. Candidates applying for more than one position are required to submit a separate application for each.
5. Candidates should ensure that information mentioned in the application form is accurate. Once the application form is submitted no further request regarding any changes/ information in the application form will be considered.
6. Age and experience will be reckoned as on the last date for the submission of application form i.e. 16th June, 2025.
7. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be entertained.
8. Mere fulfilment of educational qualifications and experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for Interview. The duly constituted Screening Committee will adopt its criteria for short-listing the candidates. The candidates should therefore, mention in the application all the qualifications and experience in the relevant area over and above the minimum prescribed qualification.
9. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview and Information will be uploaded on website in this regard.
10. Original mark sheets, certificates, award/fellowship, etc must be accomplished for verification at the time of the interview.

11. The positions are strictly temporary and will terminate upon the completion of the project. Candidates shall have no claim to regular or permanent employment thereafter.
12. The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post.
13. Interim enquiries will not be entertained.
14. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
